We all changed from one year to another but that's great I am 66 i changed so if you do change its beautiful different menu for her family closer to God a better way to homeschool better way to be a better wife a fun way to have a different place to go for for fun then last year yes we all changed but for the good she's amazing mom she is amazing teacher she is amazing Wife she is a amazing Christian so we all should change God bless Mr Mrs Pendergrass

I have to applaud you Sarah. I can't imagine how much micro management it takes to homeschool 7 out of your 10 kids with taking care of the younger ones. I hope your getting more sleep because you don't need to get more sick. Also you have not changed in the 2+ years I've been watching you. I agree totally! You are the same positive inspiring loving mom, wife, and woman you have been since I started watching! I always feel inspired after watching you! Seth is growing to fast! His smiles are great! Your kids are great! You do so wonderful with them! At times o wish I had more patience with mine (teen ands 20 year old now.). My son has on line school so far this year. Do not have to get him moving for school he is a good/ great student. Last year his last 9 weeks were done here was on line and teachers were a bit not prepared but it was all good. He finished with a 3.8 out of 4.0 for the 9 weeks and a 3.9 out of 4.0 Ford the year. He is the best out of 3 of my boys. He is in 12 th grade this year. And he took a full year and schudule of classes this year. He wants to go to college for something in the medical field. He is not positive what but in medical field. Looks like a nurse or doctor. Not sure yet. Maybe sports medicine or therapies. He is smart enough and motivated to do I just stay positive.

We also use Sonlight and are loving Core D+E focusing on American History! The books are so good. What time do you start homeschool in the morning? This is our first year with homeschool and we haven’t been starting until 9 am which feels so late after coming from a private Catholic school where the kids had to be in the classroom by 7:50 am and we would leave the house by 7:15 am to get there. I have been letting them sleep until 8-8:15 since I can’t seem to get everyone to bed until 9:30-10 pm. At their age I feel like getting enough sleep is just as important eating right and getting plenty of exercise. I notice the concentration level is better when I let them get more rest. Wish I could get more sleep too. The downside of starting at 9 am is that we can’t seem to finish until somewhere between 2-4 pm (that includes a lunch break and 30-60 minutes outside). They are used to being out of school by 2:30 so I get lots of gripes. We also loves the Read aloud books but I was getting a sore throat so for this next book we are using Audible. Yeah!!

Dear Sarah, Solo, and Family, I've been following your channel for about a month now. To preface what I'm going to say going forward, I have been very ill and stuck in bed for almost four months with a serious Gastrointestinal Infection. That being the case, I've been bedridden. I have lost going on 30lbs in 3 months due to this, and I am weak and exhausted. Your family's channel has been such an inspiration to me. Your family is like the dream family that I never got. Not to say that I don't love my own, I love them dearly. We were blessed with four autistic children with various other special health care needs from heart defects to airway defects to epilepsy (brain damage caused from some seizures), and severe pain and nerve issues. All four of our adult children still live at home. During this pandemic we have had to really hunker down to keep everyone safe. We are hoping at some point our youngest that turned 18 and started his first job right before the pandemic hit will be able to go back. But we're not comfortable with that yet. Our other three children are not able to have jobs due to their illnesses and immunocompromised health. When I said dream family that I never got, I meant a large family with neurotypical children to raise when we'd have a big legacy with several eventual grandchildren, etc. By watching your channel, you give me at look into that side of life. A beautiful life. And yes, I know everyone has different trials in their lives. Not everyone is the same, and I KNOW I am BLESSED. Whenever I get sad that I most likely won't become a grandmother I have to put it in the almighty's hands. And also realize that their are a lot of people that can't even have children, let alone grandchildren. I know there are others that have many more challenges than I do. I just wanted to thank you two for putting your family out there as a light of GOOD in the world in these terribly uncertain times. Thank you for the trip to Kenya, and showing what that area of the world is like. Thank you for showing kindness. Thank you for the love you share your children and others around you. I have decided to start my own KZbin Channel. I set the groundwork down a couple of months ago on my birthday. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. I'm hoping to be an inspiration like all of you are. And DO NOT LET THOSE PEOPLE GET YOU DOWN. Trust me, I've seen a ton of your videos over a very short period of time being bedridden. I love learning what homeschooling is like. I teach 4th grade reading, writing and social studies. I agree with you that writing is hard to assess as it is subjective. I have found using rubrics helps. Just an idea. This way the child can see their expectations and how to get the most points for their work. I don't know how you move so fluidly from one grade level and subject to the next. Kudos!! Also, I believe vocabulary building starts with conversations you hear. Your family speaks very well which lends to a robust education.

I used " Handwriting without tears" for my older son almost 15 years ago - he had dexterity issues and had problems with writing in school. Our Occupational therapist recommended this program. I loved it, it became easier for him to write, helped us a lot when we stopped OT ( it was not covered by insurance and we were unable to afford). We used their support for several years.

Oh gosh, Sarah, I love watching your videos. You and Solo are quite the inspiration . I’m 78, my three sons are all grown up. I have six grandchildren, one great grandchild and another on the way. I can’t imagine what that person means with regard to you changing. Don’t we all change in small ways or large ways too, over the years. After all we learn new things, ways to do things, learn how to adapt to each situation. I do wish you had a bit of time on a regular basis for just you, but that’s obviously difficult. Good morning Sarah, I love that part where you are reading to them. When I was in grade school, I had a teacher who would read us stories. Reading is one of those relaxing thing for me. I just wanted to commend you on how you handle all the things you need to do. When I would have lingering illness, my dr would say the same thing, you need to rest more. I would look at her and say there is so much I need to do. As mom's we push ourselves to get things done. If something doesn't get done one day, well we can try to finish the next time. Sarah, I think you are incredible! You are doing so much and you have done so much! You are a pastor's wife. A mother of ten including 3 under 5. And you are helping Belle take care of a new dog. You homeschool, shop, clean, do laundry, keep everyone healthy, make and edit videos, travel, lead worship and I do not know what else. You do all this while you try to make the world a better place for others. I think you should give yourself a little credit for all that you do! I admire you greatly! It took me awhile to realize that you just have to live Life. What I mean is life comes at you in real time and you just have to react in real time. You do the best that you can and learn good things and bad things . But most importantly you are human. To me there is only one being who can judge me and I know in my heart that he loves me and accepts me for who I am. Maybe I haven't explained this right, just know there are people in life that no matter what you do will find fault with you. I dont understand that but that is just the way people are sometimes. I'm a behavior interventionist and an after-school specialist but right now I'm working from home I don't love the materials that my daughter is being offered so I'm going to look into this! I can't believe how many give me strange looks when I say that, like they've never heard that before. I need to tell you what a wonderful blessing you and your whole family are to me. I have chronic spinal pain and can barely walk and I take care of my 87 year old mother who is in better health than I am, but she has early dementia. I am a born again Christian for 45 years and I sing acapella every Sunday. I have great faith in my SAVIOR but I also get very depressed at times. Just the kind voices you and Solo and the children have is very soothing. Your Mom and Dad have the same voices, it has to be that you all love the LORD. I’m so sorry someone made you feel less than the amazing woman that you are. I found you guys earlier this year and my husband was one of 13 so when I saw you had 10 children I was so intrigued. You are such a positive and joyful spirit, I could not love watching you as a mom, you are setting a great example for all the new and old moms. We have 3 grown daughters and 2 grandsons 2 and 4 and a ten month old granddaughter and another one coming in 6 weeks. Because of you and watching your channel I have decided to try and start preschool with my grandsons on the days that I have them. Listen to me, I may not have 10 kids but I had 3 stinky🤣 girls and now clone grandsons and you are an amazing example of love and virtue and what every marriage should look like. I get tired just watching your videos and hearing about ALL the stuff on a daily basis you go through!! Girl, you must be exhausted at night! Kudos to you for home schooling sooo many children, running a household, being the best mother you can, making videos for us and still have a smile on your face.
