I am a teacher at a Title 1 where most of our children are immigrants and are homeless. Seeing this video made me cry. Thank God for amazing people who do so much for our babies! My husband jokes that I work just to support my classroom... but there is no better joy than seeing a child get a pair of socks, a backpack, or even a toothbrush.

Sometimes people underestimate the impact that doing or saying something nice and encouraging to a child has on the world, but the reality is children remember and many of them go on and do a lot of good for a lot more people. I'm speaking from my own experience and the impact elementary school had on my life. It's really a ripple effect. You are doing a lot more good than you know. Thank you.

I grew up not always knowing where my next meal might come from & more often as you put it eating "cheap junk food". My mother also never drove & we walked everywhere. We live in Omaha and attend Christ Community Church. We participate in a program similar to this, but it’s for Christmas gifts. People donate nice, unwrapped toys and fill a “store.” Low income families can come and shop for Christmas gifts at a greatly reduced cost, but they still pay for them, so they maintain their dignity.

I am a retiree and my son and I don’t use our food budget each month, so we use some it to purchase food for the food pantry at the church in our neighborhood. We are able to buy a lot of food. When buying food for the church pantry,I try to buy food that is mouthing and is healthy for them. In each week in the month, I do foods for breakfast for the first week, next I do foods for lunch, next I do foods for dinner or supper and next I do breakfast for the fourth week. Then my son delivers the bag of groceries to the church pantry. When I see food items on sale at any grocery stores I purchase them for future food to be used in the bags of food to be donated. I feel that we are helping others in need.

Every supermarket have donation bins as you leave the store.

This was wonderful. It humbles me to see this😪. I volunteer at my community food bank and Abused Women's and Children's shelter and I have never seen anything like this. This was amazing 🙏 This would really benefit communities in many areas. Where I am, we get a very small amount of grant and stipend money from the State and Government. We really almost solely on donations and buy what ever is needed to replenish. Very true that it's about serving our communities with dignity, but where I am , we get day old bread and bakery items, alot of produce and very little meats. I so wish things were different. I even extreme coupon shop to get very cheap personal hygiene items, shampoo, deodorant, ladies and mens products, snacks, underwear and socks to donate to the Veterans and homeless shelter, and the Abused Womens and Children's Shelter. Every little bit helps. Some of our area churches offer very small food pantries. I would love to be involved in a mission like this. I have always wantedtoopen a non-profit of some kind. . God Bless you all 🙏🙏 P.S. Grandma is doing great with the kids. Plus, your little girl's sang to us . Sweet little princess's 👸👑

This is so wonderful. I remember a rough spell where I found myself unemployed in a new city and living on 1 income unexpectedly for 6 people. I ended up going to a food pantry and it was not a good experience, I felt shamed and the food was not good, etc. I'm glad it was only a short rough period and I didn't have to repeat that experience. Something like this is wonderful, I truly do believe that most people do want a hand up and not a hand out. God bless this ministry. I would 1 day like to have something like this, maybe even a free clothing store.

We have a "Hope Center" at our church here in Sioux City, IA. Each person who comes in fills out forms to let us know how many people live in their household. Each family is assigned a certain amount of points based on their family size. All of the groceries have a point value. Then, a personal shopper (volunteer from the church) walks along side the person while they are shopping to help them meal plan and use their points. Then we walk them to the door, pray with them, and load up their groceries for them. Each person is allowed to shop once a week. All items in the store are donated. It is amazing to walk through this process with them. One person said to me "no one has ever prayed with me before."

Such a blessing to so many people. To be able to provide this food at a low cost is so important. I know what it's like not to get food you need because of the prices. I no longer have that issue, but my heart always goes out to those who do. Please all of those who struggle hang in there. God is with you.

My husband and I are over community in our church. This gave me so much hope, and lots of ideas. We are based in South Africa 🇿🇦, and people are really really suffering. This was so inspirational. Love it ♥️

We have a place like this where I am from, washington state to be exact, and it really is a blessing. Where I used to work I’d see people struggling to get fresh items so I would send them there. Places like this help a lot of people.

When I lived in upstate new York there was this convenience store chain called Stewart's. They would pull all their bread and milk 3 days before experation and give it to food pantries. They have their own dairy and bakery facilities.

Start small and grow it. It’s amazing what a difference it can make. Talking and looking can help.

I am so proud to be born in New York City. And yes New Yorkers are known to open their big.hearrs. And ask for nothing in return. God bless this gentleman and his wonderful family.
