I enjoyed your Scotland videos slightly more than the others, but I'm not impartial. I fell in love with Scotland this year too and it was very hard to leave. I didn't do Ben Nevis or visit loch Lomond this time but years ago and the footage of Lomond brought it all back. I flew to Inverness, bus to fort william so got to see Ben Nevis again and Loch Ness (Simply stunning) and started my hike with a small ferry crossing. Everyone there was so friendly when I did pass through places like Glenfinnan and Sheil Bridge. It's such a remote part of the UK above the line from Fort william to Inverness. The camping was quite something. Being surrounded by mountains, not a soul for days on end and usually following a river you can literally drink from mostly. Wild swimming galore. Not to mention the Lochs all the way up the North West Highland coast. What a country! So glad you made the crazy long drive there without issue and even climbed Nevis alone! Impressive. Great video as always. Looking forward to your next adventure 😊

Loved this series from Scotland. Brought back a lot of memories from my visits. When you go back to Scotland the Isle of Skye is a obvious place to visit not only one of the most stunning places in Scotland possibly in Europe. Also one of my favourite places to visit was Strathpeffer in the Highlands surrounded by mountains and woodlands and walking the "Cats Back" over to Loch Ussie. Ever where you decide to wander have fun and stay safe.

Loch Lomond & Glen Coe are two of my favourite places. If you go back to Glen Coe I'd recommend staying at the Red Squirrel Camp site. There is loads of access to the River Coe for a swim with lots of pools on the way back to the A82. I would also recommend going to the Clachaig Inn for food and live music especially at the weekend. Skye and Achmelvich Beach, which is above Ullapool are definitely worth going to as well.

To use a stereotypical Scottish saying "Haste Ye Back". A few future ideas, the South West of Scotland is actually quite beautiful, but tends to be neglected by tourists who often head straight for the cities and the Highlands. The Borders area too is gorgeous, with loads to see and do and then there's the East Coast areas between Edinburgh and Berwick with some lovely coastline, spectacular cliff side castle ruins (Tantallon Castle), small communities, country roads and an amazing beach at Yellowcraigs not far from North Berwick. Of course there's the Isle Of Arran, the Mull of Kintyre, the North Coast 500 route, the East Coast from Inverness down to Dundee and the Kingdom of Fife. All areas well worth visiting. Ireland also has to be done, Northern Ireland is quite a hidden gem then heading across the border down the wild Atlantic Way with it's lovely villages and towns, wonderful people all of which should be on anyone's bucket list. Keep smiling and have a great trip, wherever you end up.

Well, look who is here? My favourite Pom. I was thinking of you yesterday when I saw on the news of the cliff face, capitulating in Devon, and nearly taking a house with it. I was watching a show yesterday with Britain’s most haunted castle. Apparently it is Chillinghan Castle, near the border of Scotland. Congratulations on your long drive back. How many times did you stop? That almost is the same as driving in Western Australia although I do remember one time doing the 600 km to Kalgoorlie, having half an hour break to refuel and have a piss then driving non-stop home in six hours. I don’t need to stop for snacks because I take mine with me. Have you ever tried taking Froot loops with you? A nice sugary snack. You can eat dry that gives you enough energy to keep going and taste so damn good… I’m pretty much set for some summer travelling. I think I might’ve mentioned I bought another fridge. So that’s three fridges I have in my van. The new one is just strictly for drinks set up where the centre console was. Enough room for 15 cans or less cans and a few snacks, especially chocolate ones. It is really hard to tell whether it is winter or summer spring or autumn in the UK. A few flashes of sunshine and that’s it. If you’re going to go to Europe during winter, you better do what all the other Poms do and head to Spain, or Portugal. Then you will sort of experience what it’s like in Perth in winter as we have the same Mediterranean climate. Anyway, to sum up your trip, I’m glad to see you finally roughing it a little bit. Over here, there’s so many towns that allow overnight parking, some with toilets, and even showers, so is relatively cheap to get around. Anyway, that’s enough of my dribble for today. Just stay away from cliff faces in Devon, because I believe they’re dangerous and safe travels, wherever you may be. I’m guessing you didn’t run into Aileen Watt at Loch Lamond? Take care and ❤❤❤❤ from Western Australia where it gets so hot. You can fry an egg on the dashboard of your car.

Those were spectacular views to say the least. The lake and the distant hills reminded me of the lake in Hogwarts. Can't imagine a car journey that long, my trip to Edinburgh in summer took around 5 hours and it was tough. The sound of the lake water is super relaxing, it would probably help get me to sleep! There were some amazing Halloween displays in my local area. I always feel sad once it's over as Christmas still seems a long time to go. Glad you had a good time, I can tell the trip made you happy. Can't wait for the next adventure.

Eleanor, really enjoyed your video. It is a pity you did not venture further up. From Fort William, follow the A82 and you will get to Fort Augustus. At that point you will be on the side of Loch Ness. Stunning. Cut off at Drumnadrochit to avoid Inverness traffic, and head North towards Dornoch. A beautiful "city" which does have a Cathedral. It does have something to do with Madonna the singer, however we shall gloss over that. Drive through the village as it really is and head for Embo. There is a camp site there and the beach is superb. The campsite is called Grannies Heilan Hame. If you made that your base for a few days, then John O Groats and all of the East coast is easy to do in a couple of hours. You will also have the treat of driving through Glen Coe again via the A82 on the way up. Maybe leave it until the end of March beginning of April to avoid any bad weather. La Mirage fish and chips in Helmsdale is a definite recommendation in Helmsdale. Enjoy.
