Although I've lived here 6 years, I thoroughly enjoyed the golf cart ride! You and Linda were in my neck of the woods when you were on Pinellas Place, St. Charles and Bailey Trail. Lake Miona recreation is where I participate in water aerobic classes! This particular area is around 12 years old and not far from Lake Sumter Landing! Loved the video showing what a beautiful community we are fortunate enough to live in! I call it "eye candy"! You two are the best! ❤️

I like the banter between you and Linda on the cart rides. My husband and I have been renting for the month of November and we use our golf cart as much as possible. Yesterday we were out driving the cart for 3 hours. You really get to see more of the scenery that way.

That’s what I do everyday try to get out of the house and enjoy my golf cart ride. To Lake Sumter, Spanish Springs and Brownwood, have a nice lunch. Sometimes fine a golf course with a tee time opening. Or back home to Gunny and Sarge. Love The Villages. Thank you for bring exciting travels around the Villages. My wife loves to take GC rides to look at TV. We live up north in the village of Del Mar and have taken many rides south over the Turnpike. When friends come to visit we have them drive one of our carts and head south we all head south.

☮️♥️☀️🌹 Jerry and Linda, Happy Holidays! Actually, palms love hot and cold weather, they grow even better in the desert where people don't water them and put blankets over them. They actually love the snow and grow better in the deserts where they hardly get water. The same way roses in Europe grow better where they have the four seasons and they are never covered up with blankets. If you cover them up, they're not getting air and the leaves can't breath, it's like you're choking them and that's why they wilt and die because people think they need a blanket like horses, by covering them up with a blanket. In the wild, horses run even more so they don't feel cold and don't have a blanket in the first place in the wild. I found that out for myself as well, as we adore palms and have palm trees. If we water them too much, they literally die. Once you plant them and give them very little water once a week, they're a lot more happy than to water them three times a week. In the desert, they live without water. Covering them up is just choking them to death, just like roses that we have done and they died as opposed to the ones in Europe that are never covered up and they keep coming back for decades, especially the ones at Buckingham palace that the queen adored in one of her many gardens and they're never covered up in the wintertime. I live in the village of Amelia. My favorite ride in my cart is on Buena Vista between Lake Miona rec center and Palmer CC, especially when the many azaleas are in bloom. 😀

My realtor told me that the veranda homes are designer homes with fenced backyards. And I wanted a veranda because of the backyard. Some homes I looked at had very small backyards and some larger. I'm on a corner so my lot is larger and I got it not only for my dogs but because I'd like to put in a pool at some point. Just getting my golf cart that I ordered on Monday and I'm a little nervous about driving it. People like to go a lot faster than I probably feel comfortable at this point. I'm going to be one of those little Pokey ones. At least at first.

Whenever i head up north to play golf Google maps will always take me that route through Turtle Mound GC. But I think it is faster to go through Colony Plaza up Odell circle, and down Stillwater trail. It brings you right into Sumter Landing. (Just a thought)😇

Thank you for the great ride and Happy Thanksgiving. Lollygagging is of unknown origin. Lots of near misses today. You have to be ever vigilant. The dog was wearing a gentle leader. Prevents dogs from pulling in the leash. Works extremely well on larger dogs or dogs with longer snouts. I have Pomeranians and the male wriggled out of it in two seconds. The female is well behaved and can walk off leash, but I don’t often do that because it could be dangerous.

Interesting look around and well presented commentary as usual. See there is enthusiasm for the golf cart rides, but just a word of caution. As far as I am aware they are not crash tested. Two carts approaching at 40mph actually would meet at a combined 80mph, so great care is appropriate whenever other carts or the more robust cars are about. Hopefully there are few major incidents with carts in the Villages, but just need to be alert to the vulnerability of the cart when driving near to others. Keep safe and look forward to many more shows.

Yes, they are not built to sustain much of a crash. However, the carts are not supposed to go over 20MPH.
