I love stainless steel. Its a shame Howa and most companies have gotten rid of stainless steel. If they do, they mix blued parts on with them. I prefer all stainless steel parts. Either cheap bluing now is versions which I don't prefer. Nice rifle Sir!

Oops. Just noticed they used a blued mag box, spring and follower. That drives me crazy. Is the bolt head blued or stainless steel? Thank you.

@@sibongileryan6747 they do a stainless in 270; in fact, if got one, albeit an older one. I’m not sure if they make them threaded from the factory, but it’s easy enough to get it done by a gunsmith.

Thanks for the look. Been considering a Howa for my first centerfire. Made in Japan can’t be bad. The weight you gave was with the scope?
