Not bad, though a couple things I wanna point out. 1: Your carbs cost about 500 a piece, which is a really good price all things considered. But O'Reilly's will sell me a carb kit to rebuild an original carb for about 50 bucks. I'd say it's a bit beyond 'spend a few dollars more' 'Course I've also found brand new carbs tend to work better than rebuilt originals, but a fella that's a bit money tight might not have a choice when the disparity is that big. 2: I do love the finish options. I'm gonna be dailying a 46 Super Deluxe with a 59AB in it and if I find myself buying a carb I'd want one that was left natural metal finish. The engine's got a heavy patina on it already and it'd just look out of place having one all shiny and such on there. 3: On that note, I imagine most of your customers are hot rodders...how do your carbs do for someone that's putting 80 miles a day 5 days a week year round on their engine?

Hi, It's difficult to compare the cost of a service kit with the 100+ parts in a complete carburetor plus the huge cost of die-cast tooling, but we do respect that our customers have different budgets, which is why we offer a full range of service and restoration parts. Thanks for your thoughts on the finishes. Again, we try and provide something for all tastes where possible. We don't see a problem with regular use. We stand by our product quality, of course. Thanks.

A carb rebuild kit isn't super expensive, but paying a professional engine builder to referb a carb and install it for you adds up. In this instance the statement that a new carb isn't much more expensive holds true. If you want to rebuild your own carbs, go for it, but a new Stromberg out of the box guarantees you that it'll run like a new one, because it is.

I have a 1951 Ford with a six cylinder flathead. Have you ever heard of someone putting air conditioning on a car with that setup?
@cliveprew21564 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry, I've never seen it done personally. Your best bet might be to all a company like Vintage Air in TX. If it can be done, they can d it!
@Joe-tu5qw2 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen it done with a Straight 8, don’t see why a Ford Flat 6 wouldn’t work.

The music junked another video 👎🏻💩
@andyjones93864 жыл бұрын
Agreed!I don't know why everyone does this.If you want music, make a music video.Otherwise, let's hear the narration and engine sounds, nothing else,please.
@chuckthebull3 жыл бұрын
I found it typical and not distracting though... but maybe 30s music more suited? HA..yeah lets hear the engines that's music to my ears.

Parts bin from a junk yard - have you fluxed and measured the junk before you build an "engine"? oh my
@strombergspeed2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I don't know of anyone making a new flathead block right now. Maybe you are? If so, great news. I can't wait. Thanks.

Really bad music for such an excellent product.
@Joe-tu5qw2 жыл бұрын
Bad music? What were you expecting, Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, or some Pre-War? Honestly I hear enough of that crap at car meets with the old heads. This genre is Southern jam rock, and isn’t bad for being non copyright.
@gordonwelcher95982 жыл бұрын
@@Joe-tu5qw At least it's rock music, that's good, myself I would prefer 70's rock. The video is great but the music woke up my cat. It's your video I guess you can play what you want of course.

You guys do shitty work your Model A Engian ‘s with that center thrust sucks I had several friends lose engines at not even hitting 1000 miles

Michael. H & H Flatheads don’t make Model A engines. You’re thinking of H&H Antique. If you have a beef with them, please take take it up with them so they can reply. Thanks
