On May 25, 1971, Jackie Miller and her husband brought home their son, Scott, whom they adopted. 37 years later, Scott brought his mother to StoryCorps, where they shared a conversation about Jackie's decision to adopt him, their profound love for one another, and Scott's trepidation at what the future holds.

Lovely. A great reminder about how to treat your own children.

I wish everyone had a mother like this. What a wonderful world it would be. Now excuse me while I wipe away my tears. :)

Omg, this is so amazing and it made me cry a bit. Some people don't even have natural parents who care this much for them. I lost my mom at a young age, but I've always feel as if she loved me enough for a lifetime and I can still feel her love today.

So she didn't bother to tell her adopted child that she had given a child away? And so she has never bothered to search for him in almost 60 years? That's terrible.
