It's worth pointing out that David is very much a secular Jew. Atheist, actually. He tells a funny story about being approached by a rabbi at a function. The rabbi asked him if he'd come to his synagogue to read a prayer at the start of a Jewish holiday. David said sorry, Rabbi, but I'm an atheist. The rabbi replied, me too, don't worry about that, come along.

I am neither Jewish or Muslim so I feel what ever I say on the current situation especially about Gaza I always feel I am taking a side When all I want is to stop the killing on both sides I know religion runs deep But I think you’re plan of doing a show/ podcast together is a fantastic idea and I really hope it is taken in the grace you both want I wish you all the best with this.

This did not get very far. Baddiel insisted Varsi's description, of the PSC's protest being very friendly, probably missed MPs feeling threatened in the HoC and also that Charlotte Church did not know what she was singing about. Tropes and good old mansplaining.

That was much better (imho) than the Sky News interview that was done with the 2 of them. The Sky News interview made me feel like they'd never met before (not ideal if they're doing a podcast together). I think it helped that they were both in the studio together, but also it was the questions which were asked.

Being Jewish is not a nationality, there are Jewish people in every nation in the world just as there are Christians and Muslims. Saying someone is Israeli is saying their nationality. I doubt very much that Canadian Jews would want to be told they aren't Canadian.

Interesting to hear Baroness Warsi saying they will remain friends after her discussions with David Badiel. However,the god Baroness Warsi believes in forbids Muslims to take Jews as friends,which in turn makes the Baroness disobeying her god. No such rule is David Badiel held under,as the God of Abraham commands not only for Jews to be friends with all people,but to have love for them. It will be interesting to hear how their discussions pan out. Quran 5.51-53 Kathir - Ibn Al Kathir The Prohibition of Taking the Jews, Christians and Enemies of Islam as Friends Allah forbids His believing servants from having Jews and Christians as friends, because they are the enemies of Islam and its people, may Allah curse them. Allah then states that they are friends of each other and He gives a warning threat to those who do this, وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ (And if any among you befriends them, then surely he is one of them.)
