Dear Paul, Another well researched study. A nice methodical way to conclude the reasoning when the documentary evidence is limited. It's good to see a study in this under-explored and under-researched subject. Keep digging the gems in this region.

Thanks Paul. Your study and findings were, as usual, supported by very thorough research. I visited Phimai in '79, before much restoration had been completed. So intriguing!

Phil, thank you for your comment, I am glad you enjoyed. Nice that you got to visit Phi Mai before restoration, in some ways, that’s a more pure experience - I’m envious.

Thank You Sir. I do not know if we will ever know for sure for the lack of defenses at Angkor Wat. It is certainly beautiful Architecture. Pure speculation on my part is as you suggested they may have felt that a Supreme Being would animate the stone figures to protect their home. How they survived for so long is beyond me. The population estimate spread is rather large. Estimated 100,000 to 1.9 million? Very interesting
@CarterOnConflict2 жыл бұрын
Dodger Blue, a major archaeological study was released since my video that says the population was of that upper level. But as you say, why they neglected the defenses may never be known but yes, I think as you say it may be they felt some supernatural power was protecting them. Thanks for viewing, and good luck in the up coming season. I guess baseball is upon us!
