My very last foray into my ex-narc's twisted web, was due to a reverse hoover, instigated by me. WTH was I thinking? I contacted him to ask about sending his birthday package that had been sitting here for 2 months. That was in March. I could kick myself. I ended up sucked in for 3 more painful months. When he again discarded me, I can only say that I felt relief. Hurt, but relieved. Lesson learned. I won't be doing that again. Ever.

My favorite share of yours was how you explained how the narcissist will start real super high love bombs then drop down to the pain/disaster stage and just stay there. I like this guy, he's got humour and it's not so dark. Sam Vaknin is more scientific (and a malignant narcissist) and HG Tudor (diagnosed psychopath AND narcissist however that one works) is D A R K. Tudor always talks about control and his voice makes it seem as though he wants narcissism to seem really cool. Vaknin warns of it but its so scientific and complicated you cant follow and the videos superlong. This guy you GET, Its simple, short and to the point. I like it.

I think there was sexual abuse from some of the things he would tell me. He was also in the military for 20 years. His sister made fun of him when his cat died in his arms from choking on a bone. To this day his sister thinks it was hilarious. I told her off.

However, I think he truly has to heal much more first and develop a strong, tried and true character first. Gifting and charisma can take people places their character can’t keep them. Its crazy, I am dealing with a woman in this scenario right now. First the love bombing and as soon as I expressed that I cared for her, she began to pull back. Went from contact multiple times a day to slow (1 to 2 day) response to texts. Also short 1 word or cryptic responses. So basically Stonewalling and the Silent treatment. I went no contact for 3 weeks and she called me with the excuse of a mental crises in her life. I felt bad, supported her as much as possible and the Silent treatment and stonewalling started again. So on the 1 year anniversary I just told myself I was tired of it and went no contact again. Now she is hoovering, calling and texting me with “are you okay?” It is hard not to respond as I would not want to be ghosted myself, I have never done that before. However when you try to logically express what the issues are, (The intermittent reinforcement, lack of gratitude and I know she is seeing and texting other guys (Supply) which she denies) she tries and usually talks her way out of it. So, I just keep telling myself she knows what she did, and she did it intentionally so there is no need for further discussion. Just let it go! Still its hard cause I do care about her.

I got fooled like this. After a breakup for a month, I started talking and noticed I´m not done with her. When I told her to not be so repellant she blamed me for stopping to talk to her. She also denied indeed ever loved me or act and behave like she did and told me you are just a friend and started being damn cold as I suggested the dismissive behavior she just told me "Well you can leave if you dislike it!" I'm so happy I never saw her again after her rage fit infront of her family and years of verbal abuse in private. She also tried to get me fired from my job. It seems like a battle of attrition when it comes to who contacts who first. My ex has BPD, but some of the NPD behaviors apply to her as well. I broke up with her due to everything you listed in the vid, including the 1 thing you haven't done. So I don't intend to call her, even though I do think about her. She did get a family member to contact me about an item that she claims I have, but it doesn't exist, so it's bizarre to me. I forgive, but I don't forget, so no reverse hoover from me. It's really not in the best interest for either us right now.

Thanks Lee for this I broke no contact to confront which took more out of me than him. I suspected he was cheating and even on a dating website along with all the overall mistreatment. I picture and recent profile was located on a dated website. His response to all of it was you asked me to leave and you miss me... miss US than started accusing me of cheating. It just wasn't worth it in the end to discuss anything more with him about anything. My gut and intuition has revealed much that I ignored. Before I asked him to leave several weeks before, I walked up on him while he was texting on his phone and asked like it was normal to ask "Are you on dating website"? Now I know that question and thought did not come out of nowhere but my intuition.

THIS!! He did this so many times and I always went back. This time he broke up just before New Years because I refused to engage in his rage whiling was sick. Had a food poison and every word made me literally 🤢 so he broke up… went radio silent, blocked me everywhere… that felt like a real backstab (even if all of them were, but this one hurt me most). Unfortunately New Years came and I new drinking wouldn’t be a good idea, but it’s what you do 😅 so I called him drunk without Number ID and he picked up saying „thank god you called“. I got so upset about it that I raged what a psychopath he is to do that treatment on purpose and hung up. He immediately called me back a few times and I told him no more! He said „good! shall we move on then?“ and I said „of course I’ll move on“ 😂 I think he felt stupid of showing he was grateful for my call at least he should feel stupid even though it won’t last…I’m on day 6 of NC. I don’t expect him to Hoover me and I hope he stays away. It’s hard but nahh uh uh. Not going to fall ever again.

I have been telling my story in some forums dealing with narcissistic abuse aand one of my post got pulled for using the term reverse hoovering. I got told reverse hoovering is a cluster B behavior and it makes it seem that the survivor does the same things as the absuser and that it simply doesn't exist and I have never seen such bs. Does telling a mutual contact to tell them that I said hello count as a reverse hoover? No sure if the person actually did tell them but now I'm hoping that they didn't. The point of me doing so was to trigger a hoover for validation and to get closure as the "why's" and pain from it all have been excruciating. In the beginning the love bombing was so intense yet the devalue (done behind my back I should add) and discard was so disrespectful and humiliating. I now understand that closure will have to come from me and I validate myself by choosing me. Next month will mark 6 years no contact. It is hard because I have unknowingly until now been trauma bonded to this person. Even harder for me because this started at the age of 13 and they were a whole adult that went out of their way to do what they did. I will admit lately they have been in my energy heavy lately (not completely sure why) and I feel I've tooken a few steps back in my healing. Although I am embarrassed to have fallen for them and embarrassed that this still bothers me years later, I am staying strong and continuing my healing journey. 💪🏽🙏🏽

@@lala4461 Before I blocked him, (about 5 months ago) he had stopped his part of our car payments. That was the deal. He knows I can't afford to pay for the car and live in my own place right now. He called me last month (even tho I blocked him). And said he would start sending me his half of the car payment. I gave him my PO box address and the jerk never sent it to me. So now I've had it with his crap and hopefully I won't end up homeless again. We have a mobile home togethet and he put My name on the certificate of title before I left him. Technically I have a right to live there but don't want to ever see him again. Anyway, the abuse will get worse if I move back.

I reach out to him every holiday. No response from him. Mother's Day is the hardest as he never calls me. He still visits his dad and not me. Luckily he didn't block me.
