A new addition at Basford Hall, Crewe.!
Clayton built, class 18 hybrid loco is seen, on hire to Freightliner from Beacon Rail.
Also seen are shunting moves around the yard, passing freight and a West Coast ECS move.

Haha,yes! I always liked the original Claytons, but only saw them on the scrap lines ( apart from 8568). Hope these are more successful.

Great video Phil but one question please.Is this location accessable by foot and is it far to walk? My old legs aren't up to it anymore and, inspired by this video,I would like to make a, maybe, a last visit to this special location in the next couple of weeks.Cheers from the Grumpy old Spotter.

Thanks Paul. Yes it is. Only about 100 yards from the road, but unfortunately can't park close to, so I park on the Station Pilot pub carpark about 1/4 mile away. Also the ground is a bit rough/ uneven to get to the mound.

DRS selling off the Class 37? I don’t like that much!! But there again, I think the Class 37’s my favourite diesel locomotive apart from the Deltic!!
