In Italy "siesta" is known as riposo. Shops are closed midday for three hours or so, that way Italians get to go home, rest, and be with family. Riposo to Italians means enjoying a home cooked meal and spending time with family.

My wife and I recently took over responsibility for a neighbor's 3yr old East German shepherd male dog. He is a big baby, and the woman could no longer care for him properly due to health issues. The dog needs exercise regularly. We are 65 and in very good shape. I saw your setup of harness for your waist to attach the dog to you. Genius. It lowers the center of gravity and does allow you to jog with the dog. I am searching for something like that. Who knew? I didn't. We have some rescue cats. Kobie, the dog, is fine with the cats. Everyone is adjusting and getting along. We share walking duties. I take him in the morning, roughly 2.5 miles. My wife does the same route in the evening. We are happy for your success in finding a home. We have really enjoyed your videos!! My wife was quite firm and said tell her Merry Christmas. So, from south Texas, Howdy, and Merry Christmas!

Si....arte, storia, gastronomia, natura.... Ma niente lavoro. Stipendi ridicoli.

When I lived in Malta the siesta was one of my favourite features of Mediterranean life, especially in the hotter times of year. If it was too hot and humid to sleep easily over night, then a few hours catch-up in the afternoon was ideal, especially after a cheese salad lunch and a glass or two of local red wine. I love the Italian villages. Usually you can find a little back alley restaurant serving the most delicious food. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.

This is really wonderful Eva!! Your new home is absolutely gorgeous! I love your yard! I'd love to have a place like this. And I love that they have a big lunch and spend it with their families. You can definitely stay in touch with nature living in such a beautiful place as you have chosen for yourself. May God bless you and your new home 🙏🏻♥️

Whaaat I wasn't expecting this lol. I'm from Italy but have been travelling for the last 2.5 years and I'm currently in South America. I see your videos since before starting travelling and I think it helped me taking that hard decision. And it might sound crazy, but just like you, a few months ago I started to miss home so much, I started to miss sleeping in the same confy bed every night, planting, seeing it grow and picking the fruits, and spend my energies to build more durable things than to move and start again from the beginning every 2-3 months, sometimes less. So as I was changing, I was empathizing so much with you, and now I'm so happy that you've found a nice place to call home for some months, and you found it in my beautiful Italy!! I hope you'll feel amazing there, ENJOY THE FOOOOOD!! In a few months I'll go back and it would be nice to see you if you're planning to travel to other places in Italy (I'm sure you are lol). So I have a suggestion for you: Valtellina, in Lombardy. It's in the Alps, so the nature is wonderful, expecially for you that like hiking, and there is so much typical food, but that's normal in Italy 😅 Enjoy!!

Hi Eva, I really enjoy watching your videos, amazing story telling skills. I'm happy for you to have a new home and a great scenery, I'm sure you will explore every bit of it. Italy is a great country to live in. Olives must be processed before eating. Thanks for sharing your amazing life with us. Best wishes from Turkey...

Welcome to central Italy. The Gran Sasso is always something spectacular and you will discover that there are enchanting places with national parks between Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise. We recommend skiing in Campo Felice or Ovindoli, the season will open soon. A hug to Vilk and may you settle in well. Greetings from Frosinone City from me and my furry brother Aegon, a super nice golden retriever.

An interesting thing I learned about Italian olives is that they are smaller and more mitter and are generally used for oil, not eating. Eating olives are from Greece. I was amazed at the number olive trees in Italy. It seemed as though every home had at least one tree.

You can eat those also, just need to be prepared, it cannot be straight from the tree.

They need to bee cured in salted water. It's a process for several times. Olives are a delicacy 💚👌

I watched your video series on Syria a few years ago and I was honestly amazed. It was great content. Italy is a beautiful country and I hope to go there some day to find where some of my ancestry comes from. I've always love the "addicting food" as you put it. The people are warm and friendly, the language and heritage is beautiful. The architecture and fashion are also amazing. Keep it coming Eva.
