Queen Uniek her sister Marina! A beautiful mare. We are going to pick her up at Stal Chardon: www.stalchardon.nl/
We also see the studs Jurre 495, Eise 489 and Bastiaan 510.
Bastiaan 510 is the first approved KFPS stallion in Australia. He flew in from Australia to cover for a while in the Netherlands.
And we meet stallion Teun fan 'e Goëngamieden. He was born in our stable. A brother of Hester fan 'e Goëngamieden. She is still at our stable. And of course we see Eefje!

The last time I rode was on a Friesan stallion. My 9 year old granddaughter rode him too. He was so kind in that he took care of both of us if he felt our weight shift he would slow his gait a bit till we were with him once again. I had had a hip replacement and his gait was so smooth that I was totally unaware. This is a wonderful breed of horse.

Wow! Stallions side by side, with windows into each other's stalls? Now, these are well mannered horses. I hate that so many people think that stallions are agressive and cannot be housed together because they'll kick the barn to shreds. Socialize your horses people, and treat stallions as you would other horses. They'll learn to behave if you require it of them, instead of being let go bonkers all day, and simply dismissed as "stallion behaviour". There was a gorgeous stallion where I learnt to ride that we weren't allowed to ride or even do ground work with. He was always ready to bite or fight, the stall next to him had to be kept empty, and everyone was afraid of him. Except his owner was a douche that was all sorts of rough with him and failed to see that his horse was bored out of his mind. I was really happy when that horse got a new owner, and started being taken care of properly.

Agreed! Teach the stallion to behave, and the horse will be happier and everyone will be safer. It's like the whole 'boys will be boys' thing. There are some things that are truly 'boys will be boys'. Small things, like running in the halls from excitement, wrestling with friends, etc, things where nobody gets hurt. When it results in injury (physical or emotional), it's not 'boys will be boys', it's 'you need to step up and teach your kid some self control'.

I get you. I'm not a horse owner but I have a dog and I'm sick of seeing not socialising their male dogs and letting them get agressive towards other males and just dismissing it as "male" behaviour. My male dog has other male dog friends and they are perfectly fine together and have all the structure sorted out because there is a huge difference between natural dominance and agression.

I am glad you bring the horses iñ when it rains. I live in the New Forest in the UK where we have semiwild ponies turned out all year, and so many suffer from "rain burn" where the water rots ulcers into the ponies necks and backs, causing the poor animals bad injuries, pain, as it eats right through the skin, and leads to infections and even death. So many horse and pony owners are ignorant of this, so your videos showing first class education of horse husbandry send important lessons to those who own even just an average horse or pony. Thankyou.
