a four-hour series going through the details of their models is EXACTLY what my wife and I would like to see. This is not sarcasm.

As someone who owned a mostly all glass three story home the key to the TV thing is these modern easels. They make them with two legs, three like a tripod, or an actual easel on a singular rolling stand. Restoration hardware does a high end one but you can find great modern ones online if you search. They also sometimes have rollers on the bottom so you can move the tv out of the way.
@ModernJewelryMakers2 жыл бұрын
That's a way better than adding a random wall! I don't personally watch TV, but I like the idea of being able to roll it out when you want to use it. Very cool!

Interesting variety of homes. I agree that there’s a need for a second bathroom upstairs. I enjoyed your presentation and certainly appreciate the time and effort you put in to making these videos. You can set up your living space however you want.

That Alti is exactly what I want in a home. I’m single with three kids who live busy lives but want to visit once in a while. A bedroom that’s out of the way is super. The open living kitchen captures where I’d spend my time. A little covered outdoor space would complete my wish list

Hey Kerry - these are gorgeous! It seems like there are quite a lot of home companies in Canada. it would be nice to know if they service the US? And if that includes the entire US? That is one issue I am finding even with companies located in the US - that they only service surrounding states. I also wanted to throw out a video idea (& maybe you've done it before) But I'd love to see your favorites under certain price points - like Top 5 under $100K, under $200K etc. you get the idea - & ideally of homes that exist NOW - not companies with renderings of homes "coming one day". The problem with all these new companies is that no one truly knows what the quality & buying experience is like because the homes don't exist yet! It could be updated each year? just a thought - LOVE your channel!!

Kerry, I'm one of those people you described: long & skinny, rectangular appearing homes have no visual appeal to me. AND the Micro-V's outside, covered area can be screened, providing an additional seasonal living space...or all-season use in most places with the addition of a decorative propane heater. Neat!

Kerry, another excellent vid & thanks for specifying CAD & USD! I'm a new viewer & maybe you've already discussed this but for Americans it would be helpful to know-- (a) can these homes be shipped to US, (b) approx. shipping cost, (c) if there is Cdn tax, is it waived if the home is exported to USA (d) does US charge import duty or is there an exemption for homes? Many thanks! PS Have been posting your vids on my relevant Flipboard magazines (retirement, tiny homes & global real estate) with over 1 million viewers.

Your description of the sun room on the side to move away of the slim look is right on. Sunroom on side is also more functional if they’re facing south in winter.

I have researched Bonnieville homes to try to find something to use as a secondary suite addition to my primary residence. My husband and I want to stay in the area but go to a one level. The city will only allow a two bedroom addition and their main concern appears to be parking availability which we have. You’re correct when you say Bonneville homes has so many different types of buildings it would take a four hour video to go through them all
@errolmacdonald32562 жыл бұрын
As well as Bonneville, there's another Quebec company called Bone Structure and they use light-steel framing for their very beautiful prefabs. They provide the basics of the home and you finish the interior with a local contractor. Must be seen.

You put your TV where you want! There are plenty of modern furniture pieces that keep things neat and tidy anywhere you’d want to put it. I totally agree that the upstairs bedroom would be better with a bathroom however I could make it work without one. Why is it so many of these cool companies are located in canada?

I have a question. Is it better when buying a home that you know needs a lot of work to make the space efficient to live in, and also be energy efficient to get a loan and fix it? Or just tear it down and place a prefab on the foundation?

One of the primary drivers of customers toward products such as micro and/or prefabricated homes is a reduction in price while maintaining quality, however, when you started talking about the costs associated with this particular builder, my jaw dropped open. When prices for these "specialty" homes matches those of traditional homes where you can generally get more square footage for the same cost, I no longer see the advantage and therefore they no longer hold my interest as a viable alternative.
