The trim rings are NOT in common use by law enforcement because they tend to become projectiles under hard cornering. Having said that I do know there are a few departments (one of which runs tan and black cars) that run them to dress up their cars a bit. Not sure if they look the best on a plain white wrapper but they do clean up the wheels. Next up, replace the rusty screws holding down your center caps.

Very true, that's probably why a lot of departments went away from standard wheel covers. Yeah, after I put these on, I started noticing the rust on the wheels and on the bolts.

DC Metro police use them, pretty common around here. but then again that backs up your point because i’m sure it’s rare for DC Metro impalas to do a ton of high speed anything lol

I haven't seen many Impala's down here with the trim rings, but I remember seeing a lot of Caprice's in the 90's with them.

I just added the link to the description of the actual trim rings that I purchased. Check the wheel size - I think the wheels got bigger in later year Impalas, but I could be wrong... they do work on my 2010.

You said there was either you love them or hate them….I’m right in the middle, I love to hate them….🤣🤣 Just kidding, they look great and break up all that black between the tires and rims. You said you hate the sidewalls of the Goodyear tires, I want to know if you like the tread pattern and how they hold up to the road. Had some similar rubber put on a 2013 Malibu and the kid says they are great!
