***** He says they've fallen into the trap of wsec. Seems pretty clear to me that he is branding Sanders supporters as racists. I don't see how there is any other interpretation. I find your take on his statement puzzling. I think you are reading into his words what you want to hear. Isn't he an international sjw that is basically obsessed with race? And frankly attempting to blame white people for the inability of blacks to adapt to Western Civilization.

+1 Seconded! We need to send a clear message that we - and our votes - will no longer tolerate being taken for granted; that being non-Republican and simply showing up is not enough to rally people to your standard. For far too long true progressives have been marginalized and silenced using populist, deceptive rhetoric. The fear mongering and oft-repeated refrain of having no alternative must be exposed as a lie perpetrated by those in power to further their secret agenda and tighten their grip on wealth and power at the complete expense of the common people (who are now mockingly and derisively referred to by the "plutonomy" as the "global precariat" - meaning precarious proletariat. As the common wisdom in the upper circles goes, with productivity so high an unemployment rate of 15%+ is the new normal). Those in power are the people truly afraid - afraid of the people, of us. It must change now, and it will as soon as we learn and/or remember that the real political, cultural, and financial capital and power derives from and is created by us, the People. It is time we stand and stand together - all of us - and assert our collective sovereignty and birthright.

Absolutely Correct! This is a charade of the first order that the American people are in for. God help us if someone actually tells that there's not a dimes worth of difference between the two political parties indebted to their Corporate paymasters as George Wallace eloquently pointed out years ago. Someone should never think of actually telling the truth about the fact that no one would ever dare to talk about the Third Rail of Politics such as the Federal Reserve Bank which is the most corrupt totalitarian-like regime that exercises such totalitarian powers that will cause the US economy to collapse in horrific proportions very soon with their price fixing, Quantative Easing malinvestment, and the plain fact that our money isn't worth the paper it's printed on. God forbid that someone actually tells the truth about the fact that our unfunded liabilities are bankrupt to the tune of $100 trillion dollars and bankrupt already, we have a $20 trillion dollar National Debt, not to mention the people on these programs are in for a crying awakening when they finally figure out the Ponzi Scheme that the Oligarchs in Washington have forced on the American people. God forbid that someone like Dr. Ron Paul, Dr. Jill Stein or whomever else who cares enough to tell the Sovereign American people about the fact that they're being sold a bill of goods that amounts to someone putting lipstick on a pig and try to go sell it to someone who didn't know what they were buying which is the embodiment of what's going on right now. I'll be definitely relieved that I never went along in this complete and utter sham. No one dares talks about the real issues concerning the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights and upholding the Declaration of Independence, those are off the table...God help you if you ever think of talking about the plain fact of the utterly shameless robbing of our constitutional rights and that we're the most spied on, watched, surveilled, monitored, taxed society in the Western Hemisphere. People like Ron Paul have been putting it charitably. However, No One will be able to run for the exits and out of dodge fast enough when the word gets out that the American people are seen as nothing more than 'indentured servants' to Big Government in bed with Big Business(FDR described in 1938 known as Fascism) and the Political Plutocracy...

Thanks Amy & Glenn! Your work over the years keeps me on track, and doesn't let me get too overly stressed about the lack of clarity in our political environment. Independent media is launching beautifully from DemocracyNOW! these days, including the Intercept and its new offshoots, and it is so damn inspiring, even if there are intense and cruel tactics of repression accompanying these independent efforts. Thanks!!!

I like the idea of youtube featuring this channel, it deserves way more attention. But it sure is a relief to have a comment section nearly free of crazy Trump voters. The comment section on the 'we should still scrutinize Clinton' vid was agonizing.

Greenwald is a shill for Putin. He has never written an article criticizing Russian war crimes in Syria, for instance. A bit strange given that he's made a career out of criticizing the US for lesser crimes.

Okay, can anyone explain to me why arming forces in Ukraine against Russia is better than arming forces in Iran against Russia? In the last vid, greenwald criticizes Clinton for passing arms deals to Saudi Arabia, which inevitably end up in Sunni rebel hands, and then criticized Obama for NOT passing arms deals to forces against Russia in the Ukraine. I mean, in theory, certainly, both moves on the part of Russia can be criticized independently, but if they are in fact motivated by different factors, what factors are evidenced in the event occurring in Ukraine that make it wrong (i.e. we should take action against it, i.e. support military action against it), and what evidence do we have that factors occurring in Iran are not similarly nefarious (i.e. should not support Sunni rebels through Saudi Arabia) Maybe I'm overthinking, because, to my knowledge, Ukraine was pretty stable before Russia entered, and supplying forces against Russia is not so much supporting destabilization by Russia. Whereas the Middle East was relatively stable before Saudi Arabia entered, and supplying weapons to Saudi Arabia IS enabling destabilization of the region. (I think I may have answered my own question, but I guess i'll post it anyway. Maybe someone can put it more simply lol)

Greenwald a terrifically "energetic" reporter, but he also seems something of an eccentric. It's strange -- no matter the conversation he has a Tourrets syndrome tick where he must twist every topic into blame of Americans, Israel, Brits or "the West". Why not complexity? Why not many causes and no easy answers? Why doesn't he focus that sharp mind on our hundreds (and hundreds) of millions of comrades in Russia, Syria, Middle East, Asia and elsewhere who live in hellish anti-liberal, anti-progressive states? It's so sadly unnuanced, adoloscent and partisan -- literally before he has spoken you always know what he's going to say. Progressive as pudding.

Or perhaps his critique of the west is based upon the fact that the international order has been dominated by the liberal hegemonic powers of the United States and its close allies since the fall of the Soviet Union in the early 1990's. The US in particular wields immense power and influence within the international political system and plays a central role in its function; no other state comes close in terms of its military, economic or diplomatic capabilities. Whilst it's true that the United States isn't the only power to commit atrocities, Greenwald's focus upon US imperialism is completely justified seeing as it is the dominant form of our time.

You just explained perfectly the problem with mainstream media. As TramanTraks alluded to, neutrality bias is a problem in modern media, no one wants to point any fingers. It's much easier for those benefiting from the currently screwed up system to say "many causes and no easy answers". Sometimes there are easy answers, you just have to find someone brave enough to say them.

Care to explain the Clinton Foundation taking money from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and all of a sudden both dictatorships got their arms deals to use against their own population or civilians in Yemen? Care to explain Hillary's support of the military junta who illegally committed a military coup against the democratically elected government in Honduras`? Care to explain the glee in Hillary's eyes when she talks about obliterating the entire Iranian population? Care to explain her and your hatred towards the Palestinians?
