Glad to have you :) If we were still in the US, and a foreigner was living in our city or country, I'd definitely be curious to know what they thought about things and places! Hello tangerines, great vids! Another revenue stream you could consider is photography. You can take photos of the places you visit in Mexico and upload them to sites like Shutterstock, 500px, smugmug pro, etc. These sites will pay you royalties in exchange for the use of your work. Safe travels!

Guadalajara is a very traditional and conservative place...as opposed to Mexico City where tolerance for the Gay-Lesbian-Transgender community is a given, in Guadalajara (in Jalisco, actually) that community still struggles to be part of the society.
@TangerineTravels6 жыл бұрын
Maybe that's why it wasn't immediately apparent to us that there was such a large community here. Because of the struggles to be part of society, many don't make it very obvious?

You gotta visit EL diente. its a hiking/climbing spot (lots of weed and hippies around also), maybe 50 minutes from chapultepec. You could take the subway to periférico norte and then just an uber willing to take you close enough trough San Isidro, but thats going to be difficult, be prepared to walk alot. OR just type it on waze and drive the prius, you can walk alaska there. Its technically free, youjust pay like 50 pesos to a dude that owns the road to get to the rocks. ALSO I could take you, look me up on facebook and we can double date the crap out of it, its David Durden (the one with the chain and cigar)

All that food looked awesome. Btw, there was a gay pride parade because June is considered gay pride month in the USA but has been adopted worldwide. It’s celebrated in June to commemorate the Stonewall police riots in NYC in 1969. While people have their own views on the subject, I think it’s great that even in a traditionally conservative society, at least in the major Mexican cities, people can express themselves freely. It’s another testament to the respect that most Mexicans bestow to others whether or not they share a particular view. Finally, it looks like Laska’ friend is back-both so cute!
@TangerineTravels6 жыл бұрын
The food market was so good! We only saw a few blocks of the parade but yeah, it seemed like people were very tolerant, and there were no protesters or anything. I didn' know that about the NYC riots. We've received nothing but welcoming arms and respect here - no doubt that extends to other people and communities :) I think Laska and the neighbor dog like each other. Lol

Sadly the same day ultra conservative groups do the marcha por la familia to protest against same gender marriage, the right to adopt children for homosexual couples and abortion
@momothinks92926 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I know. But despite ignorance and in some cases hate, eventually the human mind and spirit bends toward justice and equality and respect and acceptance. We have a ways to go, but I am hopeful and remain optimistic that the future family of those who march “por la familia” will eventually come to believe that a human is a human no matter their gender, sexual orientation, color, race, nationality, appearance, mental, or physical capacity.

Wow! And at that fruit stand, I noticed some yellow berries, if raw I do recommend them, they're really good, in Michoacan they're called 'changungas', once when we went to Puerto Vallarta, there were street vendors selling them cooked, seasoned with red chili powder, salt and lime juice,lol...we didn't liked them cooked but raw they're good. :)

pupupipichorro relief sad? Wtf. That is the last thing to make me sad. Perhaps world hunger and violence should.

because its not good ,it looks wrong and children have to see this?not normal sorry but its true.even schools now in days teach children that its ok to be gay.in san Francisco they have story time for children teaching them to crossdress and that its good and ok .I mean real crossdressers teaching kids perversions.all these parades are basically to promote perversion.one man one woman is normal to procreate.adam and eve .and then they say why did I get aids ?worst than Sodom and gomora man.no offense meant to anyone just my thoughts.
