A Nice Pit/Corso Lays Down the Law

Today, a GSD mix kept trying to mount Winston, and Winston skillfully escalated his anti-domination techniques, until the GSD mix stopped.
There were also a bunch of French Bulldogs, and an Italian Mastiff puppy, interacting with the other dogs at the dog park.
This channel exists in order to educate people about dog behavior at dog parks.

Winston is a great pooch, alright.. he's everything you would want in a dog, really - he's well behaved, not too boisterous, he has charm, is non-aggressive, he's funny, he's very good looking, easy to care for etc. Winston has it all.. I love him a lot too, l would like a dog like Winston very much! Nevaeh is a good girl too

Agree. I do not worry too much when dogs have short displays of aggression as long as no one is really crying too loud and tails are still wagging. It's just dog talk really. They'll sort it out themselves.

I’m trying to do that. But, my dog is pretty small, at least she’s smaller than the dogs she’s around most of the time, so I’m protective. I can never tell when a big dog might just clamp its jaws down on her neck and it’ll be too late. But I’m trying to learn and only step in when it’s necessary. It’s just hard to tell.

Weimarener is maddogging the champions corner 👁👁 but controversy surrounding match fixing again raises its ugly head with an obvious mis-match between the delusional Frenchy taking on Queen Neveah and ye gods..... imagining it can take her in a paw race 😮😲🤭. I have more squirrel stuff coming actually. One time a baby squirrel climbed down a branch and was acting like he wanted to jump on my shoulder or something. He was so close I could reach out and touch if I wanted too. Winston and Nevaeh snapping below him... I didn't engage with him because I thought he might jump on me and fall. I' sent him on his way and he looked back a few times and then sat and starred at us when he was way back in the tree,

Hi, guys. I’m new to the whole dog park experience, I thought dominating other dogs is a no no at the dog park? And I can’t tell where’s the part that other dogs try to dominate Winston. Can anyone explain it to me? I appreciate it.

It’s natural dog behavior. That Shepherd kept coming for Winston, so he’s telling him to knock it off. Winston isn’t approaching it looking for a battle. You really can’t prevent this behavior and if you do, you’re setting dogs up for confused communication with one another. They need to know who is in charge among them. Obviously if their body language said they were angry or ready to fight (fluffed hair, barred teeth, glaring, freezing and staring, direct growling) an owner should intervene before it escalates.

That shepherd is way too dominant. He’s trying to mount, or head over shoulder dominate every dog he encounters. His ass needs to go down in submissive posture. The owners will say “oh they’re just playing”. No it’s not play. It’s disrespectful and unnecessary dominance.

What's wrong with your dog is .? Is he always like that. He needs to learn how to behave with other dogs. Is like he is the untachable . That's his master's fault . Definitely be he needs a better master . You need to teach him to socialize with other dogs .🤔🤔🤔
