Great video as always. A couple of things: You can see when a Citadel is unanchoring/becoming vulnerable if you hack it with a data analyser. Unfortunately it only shows the hour:minute within a couple of hours, and not the actual date it will happen. Instawarp ships are pretty safe, but it is actually possible to consistently catch them if the camper sets up right.

Hi Chloroken! Could you please expand on your concept of 'camo' 17:59. Do you just mean boosting the sensor strength of the given racial ship to make it harder for combat scanning? The Porpoise stills appears on dscan though doesn't it? Also, I have been going through your videos trying to find the section where you used a co-ops hacker set up to long-range cargo scan tins. Your idea from memory, which I really like, was scan the system for hack sites, scan and tag tins, then bounce between the most valuable in order to make it harder to find. Could you show your fit please as I am finding fitting the nullifer/stab and trying to stay below 3s align to be difficult. Thankyou!
@chloroken Жыл бұрын
Hi. At 3:43, 4:36, 6:11 you'll see annotations about the camo concept. Camo specifically refers to the ability to mitigate combat scanning, not directional scanning. There's nothing you can do about the latter without a force recon or a mobile scan inhibitor. Camo is accomplished by increasing sensor strength and decreasing signature radius. As for "tinfoil hat hacking", you can watch this here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYKulJauh9ljqZY, and up to date hacking fits can be found here: forum.truestrange.space/t/helios-endgame-hacker-scanner/59 and here: forum.truestrange.space/t/astero-ghost-site-speed-runner/58. Note that the clip in the video is an older fit with much less targeting range, the Helios is more modern. Notably, I don't use warp core stabilizers anymore on hacking ships. And you also do not need to get the align below 3. The two most important things are the nullifier and the target range.

I've been googling and can't figure it out. I watched the last mention of "camo" as well, why would a sensor booster keep someone from scanning YOU? Doesn't it make you scan other people faster? So confused.
@chloroken11 күн бұрын
Combat scanning measures two things: signature radius and sensor strength. Reduce sigrad or increase sensor strength to negatively impact incoming scans. Sensor boosters with ECCM scripts boost sensor strength.

Very random question…what microphone are you using. It and whatever interface/chain you have going really work well with your voice and delivery. Quality work!
@chloroken Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks. I use a cheap Neweer NW-700 which was about $40 with the boom stand when I bought it. In episode 12, I started making heavy use of sidechain compression (i.e., 'ducking') which gives it that polished feel I think you're describing. I've also tried to start EQing it and applying other filters that make it more pleasant to listen to for long periods of time. It means a lot that someone noticed the improvements I've been working on in the audio department! :)
@pb3662 Жыл бұрын
@@chloroken There is a common misconception that microphones have to be expensive to be "good". More money generally gets more detail but that isn't helpful unless you are in a truly great space. More important is that the tone of the microphone matches the subject (and in this case it does great). Don't overdo the filters - your delivery is generally very good. The side chain compression will help managing background music/game sound when you are speaking. Probably more important would be compression setup for your voice itself. In an ideal world go first compressor catching all the peaks (think PVP screams) feeding into a compressor that was doing only a few dB of gain reduction but much ore often.

Hey! I've watched your series 4 times now haha, love your content. Currently I run 5 accounts either mission running or mining in high sec but I want to jump into whs soon. Just scared xD But I just had an idea, and I'm curious what your thoughts are on it. What about parking a rorqual in a c5 or c6, instead of the Porpoise or Orca, since it has a clone vat bay if you die, and an invulnerability core if you get gnaked, which is good for up to 6 minutes with full skills. Same duration as the siege cycle which we'll use while we compress. If we do out compressing 5 minutes before downtime we're nearly unkillable. 🤔
@chloroken Жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan. 4 times? That's incredible, you must know the twists and turns by heart. Awesome and flattering. As for your idea, it's certainly a spicy one. Fairly early on in ANT, I also thought about how a Rorqual might slot into the playstyle. Like yourself, I figured if the clone bay worked, you could have a respawn point. If you get caught, you could delay until downtime to stay safe. Sadly, I was mistaken in believing these things worked. The sad truth is that the clone bay of a Rorqual doesn't function in Anoikis. Indeed, it doesn't allow you the ability respawn nor the ability to store and swap clones. What a bummer. Furthermore, you can't use the invulnerability module anymore without an asteroid nearby, which would make it no good for move operations on wormholes or in true strange safes. Overall, it's a clever idea, and there's certainly a place for Rorqual nomading in kspace. But in Anoikis, I can find no compelling reason to use one over an Orca, sadly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and being such a fan of the series. Means a lot to read comments like this where people really get into the details.

@chloroken Жыл бұрын
It's my term for gas harvesting due to the preferred technique. The usual term for it is called "Jedi Mind Tricking". I just like spinning better. The technique itself involves using a propulsion module to orbit a gas cloud while the rats chase you and are unable to damage you. since the rats cannot hit you and players will have a hard time catching you you can scoop gas virtually untouched. Spinning clouds.

So, I can provide data, but the short story is that I do play a lot of hours. Other factors include: • I have many years of MMO (and indeed, EVE) experience. • I'm subsidized by CCP via the partner program. • I'm supported by my audience via the referral system. • I run skillfarms on all of my accounts. • I don't spend a lot of ISK on things other than PLEX. You can always message me on discord if you want specific information. I don't collect too much data on the income activities I do though, be clear. It's only through the various systems outlined above that I'm able to casually summon piles of gold.

Working on it boss! Episode 13's vibes are already awesome, and I'm only like an hour into it. I have so much footage to work with this time around. More than ever, it takes me a long time to produce these episodes, if I'm to hold myself to the standard I've set - and continue to raise. I view your eagerness as a sincere compliment and I am both flattered and appreciative for it.

Wow. What a great episode this has to be the best and most informative episode I’ve seen of yours yet. P.S. would you mind sharing the Kiki fit please…thanks for the content by the way…please keep it up…I’m so looking forward to the next episode..!

Thank you for this comment, it makes all the effort even more worth it when others pick up on the hard work I put in. I'm happy you learned something from episode 12! As for the Kiki fit, it was pretty janky and not really worth sharing. But you can recreate it with any type of active armor tank, because C13s hurt shield tanks, and the Kiki is normally shield buffered. If you can't come up with a fit, I can generate one for you, but the fit I used in that segment is lost now. Sorry :P

@@chloroken ok great and what kinda rigs should I use..?! I just dunno much about armour fitting ships because I’m mainly a shield/caldari pilot..!

@@mellogo1d191 When it comes to Triglavian stuff, I'm certainly the wrong person to ask. But because Trig weapon systems dont have rigs like other systems, you can just stack some extra tank or speed on there in the form of armor resists or something like polycarbons. This only pertains to the armor version you'd use for pvp in wolfrayet systems. The shield buffer Kikimora is better in almost every other situation, and that's just a medium shield extender and a long point. When in doubt, go to zkillboard.com and search for "kikimora" and click "losses" - this will be a massive list of fits to pick through. You'll get a feel for just about any ship, old or new, doing this.
