@@michaelbowes09 I think it was Socrates or Aristotle, in one of their dialogues (dont remember from which dialogue) its implied that those that talk about things which they know not, they're really blowing hot air. The same goes for the sailor to baking. And so forth for any level of thing that one can be or do

Finally understand it!. Action speak louder than words. I feel like this song is talking about politics, about the self, and in a sense the worldwide division of people's who just cant seem to get along. This is not in order and nor will I get in too deep...
@darcgibson50995 жыл бұрын
The song is clearly about the political climate in the US today. It quotes the oft-mocked "thoughts and prayers" people keep offering up as the only solutions to repeated massacres etc. They talk like they're righteous and care about these things, yet they'll only give a token "thoughts & prayers" whilst standing in the way of and blocking any REAL political change or attempt to stop these things from happening. The lyrics "we're bleeding out/ while you deliberate / bodies accumulate" is 100% about the almost-daily mass shootings in America. There's a whole lot of talk of solutions, although most just spout "thoughts & prayers" & do nothing else, but nothing is being done and these mass shootings keep happening. The song is expressing rage at that inaction, particularly of those who claim to be righteous & christ-like yet act completely against those principles, or just don't actually live up to them. it's a call to actually follow through on those claims to be Christ-like or get the hell outta the way and let people who do act get things done.

my parents have received a 'plaque' from their church parish for "Most Charitable Service" done, about a year ago... they are involved in almost all of the Charities in the parish from 'most hours working in the food pantry that provides food to the needy' to 'Hoagie Sales to raise money for a sick child in the parish/a sick children's charity' and everything you can think of in between. which, is quite honorable i will admit. *But what their church parish doesn't know* is that they have a daughter at home with a Chronic and Progressive Nervous System Disorder, as well as a Chronic and Progressive Auto-Immune Disease that within the last year have caused me to lose half of my body weight, become severely malnourished, have my heart start showing beginning signs of failure after years of progressive disease so that i now may pass out sometimes just from simple exertion due to my heart rate jumping above 150bpm just from walking, chronic pain that is constant and has left me with severe insomnia and often an inability to even get out of bed... whom they will barely take 10 minutes to make a bowl of soup for let alone spend hours trying to be a support to. i am NOT describing this to get a 'pity party', that is NOT the point... the POINT is that i have *no desire at all* to stop them from doing as much volunteer or charity work as they wish to dedicate themselves to (i really do find it an honorable thing)... *but to just make sure that i am okay and don't actually need anything before they go out, and i am totally alone here* , would in itself be a massive help and probably quite enough. but instead, 2 to 3 days may go by without me talking to them or maybe even seeing them as they *do not* come up to my room to check on me, or see if i need anything and often leave me totally alone in the house in order to *go to their charity functions for others* , or occasionally for weekends if they are going on a 'religious retreat'. in other words, they will bend over backwards to involve themselves in hours and hours of 'charity/volunteer work' (that never brings them anywhere near those who the 'charity' is actually for), while leaving a sick daughter who truly needs their help alone in the house to go do so. If THAT kind of behavior from so-called 'Religious Talking Heads', is not the kind of Shameless Hypocrisy that this song is pointing out then i don't know what is. Thank You APC for expressing this so well in a song... one that i play repeatedly as it inspires strength in me to do for myself what for whatever reason 'The Charitable Ones' around me, seem to only want to Talk their Talk AT me about.

Very powerful words😔 I truly wish you well. You've endured so much more burden than your average human being. Much more than your share of pain and anguish in this world. I believe you're being tempered. Your humility shows. This life we live can be so confusing, disappointing, frustrating. Be the light. That's the overall feeling I get from this song. Be the light. Don't wait to be the miracle for those around you. For someone else to be an example of a good human being for you. Keep your eyes wide open for truth. Or this life will pass without growth of your soul. Isn't that the point of this life? After all, whatever comes next is forever right? And I hold a hope that your parents will "see" someday soon!
@Jezuslvr2 жыл бұрын
Hey Gina Whoever, first I just want to send my deepest regards to your situation! I am SO sorry that you have experienced this! (I know you explicitly said you didn't want a pity party) but as a parent your comment breaks my heart 😥 I don't know your parents and so I don't want to presume to know their heart, but I wanted to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your courage to speak up! Because of your comment that I read this morning (1 year after you left it) I looked at my son straight in the eyes after hugging him and told him that I never want him to feel like he is put on the back burner! You see, I was a drug addict and an alcoholic for 18 years who mistreated my wife. Then when my son was 16 months old I got sober. Then 2 years later I became a "born again" Christian. I have spent the past 10 years of my life devoted to serving Christ by loving people and serving where I can! A few years later my wife also was "born again" and there have definitely been times where we allowed our service to others to put our family's needs on the back burner. It has NEVER been our intention. But it's crazy that I read your words today because just last night my wife was telling me that she didn't want to feel "pushed out" because of all the "things" I do in the name of Christ! Long story short, your words touched me and I want to thank you once again for being vulnerable. I will always remember your story and keep it at the forefront of my mind as to not allow myself to get engulfed in helping others without first taking care of my family! I love you and I will be praying for you. I pray that you have a personal relationship with Jesus because He loves you like you are the ONLY person on earth 🌍! He said Himself that He "will never leave you nor forsake you."

Walking in the right path is not easy. Walking like Jesus requires discipline, will, love and grace. Satanists, in their ego think they are better while they follow no rules . The road of perdition is larger just because is easier to walk on it. No Christian is worthy without the blood of Jesus, that's our paid price of restoration and the way of light.And we receive it with gratitude, to the despear of evil. I might not be perfect but my Master is. But your master cannot bring you light, nor redemption no matter how good you do your evil deeds. . Satan has fallen once and will fall again and you will fall with him. You know it, you just deny the truth... He will eat your flesh, you will be hated for being created in the image of the true God.Satan cannot create, he is a cheap imitator. That's why is looking to alter human DNA and binding humanity to AI, to destroy all the free will. There will be no laughter, no light, no rest, no joy. Satan can't give you anything. Whoever is willing to repent, you only have till your last breath of air, or before Jesus returns. Y all know his return is imminent. Hell is real and eternity is muuuuch time. Satan was right, you are immortal but he didn't told you that the key of Hades is with Jesus...none of you will get away unless he repents and leave the wicked. This might be the last call till the return of the true Owner of the house. Glory to God in the highest and to Jesus Christ the Redeemer,forever and ever. Amen.

It's so frustrating for us that want to save lives. Children being shot. Lives of people being killed that don't deserve it. For so many on the other side want to stand behind guns, while bodies accumulate. I just don't understand why we can't have comprehensive solutions. It is a crisis. "Get the bleep out of my way" Don't be the problem be the solution.

@@O_U_No_It_2 an armed society is a polite society. Do you know how many lives are saved through the defensive use of firearms? You want to make more victims by removing granny's ability to defend herself from predators? You're pure evil if you want to remove the ability for vulnerable people to defend themselves...

@@uriahturd9695 Why do you want a polite society when it is a falsity? Also, why does your brain automatically assume it is about guns? What did vulnerable people do before the invention of the firearm for mass use? They found other methods to defend themselves and they were quite skilled in those methods. The knife, the baseball bat, ah, those are much lovelier devices, they can do what immediate death cannot, they teach a lesson that the "predator" often lives through so that he comes to regret all he did wrong because he is so negatively and permanently impacted by the maiming of a bludgeoning or the permanent scar or organ damage of a slashing. Pure evil is a rarity, most humans are very selfish animals who will delight in causing chaos until the chaos bites them on the ass. Psychopathy and narcissism are not rarities, they are entirely too common. Both personality types can still be reasoned with because evil is a religious idea, a "spiritual" idea, it's imaginary. Malice, hate, those are all very earthly and very real and are possessed solely by primates, notably human primates. This means that all these people can be taught lessons. Their disregard for outward consequence and lack of empathy can be used against them by making them permanently disabled. That's how you treat such individuals. You don't offer a quick way out, you make them endure the aftermath of the horrors they concocted. All that said, most people who end up gunned down during home invasions or other smaller crimes are typically not psychopathic, they instead are desperate in some way or another for a variety of reasons. Desperation breeds violence in the average mind. The fact you feel that everyone is a victim in waiting is a bit irrational and perhaps you should question the paranoia you are presenting. What violent horrors have happened to you in your personal life? Or have you only experienced the outcome of violence vicariously? If you experienced it vicariously, it most likely due to too much exposure to the media. Anyone can be a victim and most of the victims know their attackers very well. The attackers thus have the element of surprise in most cases. They take their victims by having their trust. Do consider that. Most crimes are not random weirdos but family members, friends, lovers. Granny isn't likely to shoot her grandson as he robs her blind. Take the time to think about all these points and actually really think about them. The gun lobby has you tremendously brainwashed and that's not meant as an insult since most people are quite easily led to believe in something irrational (like religion, conspiracy nut things, etc). Find a way to think beyond it, to understand why they want you to think the things you do; profit is the usual motivation.

How you people somehow keep forgetting punk is not right-wing is something that will always mystify me.
