i was trying to find the meaning of this song this person wrote this My Interpretation A red flag will always be a red flag, but the persons who can recognize such warnings are dying out (getting silenced). Can you recogize an apparent red flag? Can you recognize the effects by a trickle-down economy system happening right now. (Trickle down right in front of you”.) @@rondar76 there are 2 versions, By and Down is on Three-Sixty (greatest hits album from 2013) , By and Down *the River* is the newest version on Eat the Elephant. The lyrics have changed slightly and there's more piano in the newer version and Maynard's voice is a bit different.
