Ho Chi Minh City looks beautiful. It was 50 yrs ago the americans left and Vietnam rebuilt itself into a much better place. The foods looked delicious. Thank you enjoyed.
@noivongxoang235 Жыл бұрын
Viet nam rebuilt itself, common. Vietnamese were suppressed for the last 50 years. Over 65 years ago the *democracy of South Vietnam* already has FREE education for all students. About 55 years ago, *Saigon* already has a company that made cars ..... The rebuild that you've claimed, that's just a *spot* for the rich, what about the 90% of the whole nation and the poor of Vietnam, what do the government rebuild for them, NOTHING at all. Their opportunities has been taken away from them after 1975.
@noivongxoang235 Жыл бұрын
@@raremeat-iloveit6488 Are you referring to the south or north VN, are you talking about before 1975 or after 1975 ......and so on
@raremeat-iloveit6488 Жыл бұрын
@@noivongxoang235 South or North ? It doesn't matter here. At least, USA citizens didn't have to pay taxes for the war anymore. Do you know how much USA have to spend to let you be in those fancy war ? Democracy of South Vietnam can't even pay for the bullets and guns. The Vietnam War cost $168 billion, or $1 trillion in today's dollars.20 That included $111 billion in military operations and $28.5 billion in aid to South Vietnam. Compensation benefits for Vietnam veterans and families still cost $22 billion per year. Surviving spouses qualify for lifetime benefits if the veteran died from war wounds. Veterans' children receive benefits until age 18. If the children are disabled, they receive lifetime benefits. Since 1970, the post-war benefits for veterans and families have cost $270 billion. I bet Democracy of South Vietnam didn't pay back those money to USA. Where are they ? The "country" you called Democracy of South Vietnam can't even make that much money. 20 years since 1956 to 1975, how Democracy of South Vietnam can make that much money?
@kiyoshitakeda452 Жыл бұрын
@@noivongxoang235 1877 the french conquered Vietnam and ruled it till 1954. It ended when the Vietnamese made them leave in spite of a much u.s. assistance. After 1954 a series of military governments aligned with the u.s. This ended when the Vietnames forced even the americans to leave. Democracy? look at democracy in the west. Is it so admirable. Rule by a small elite and mega-rich oligarchs. A leftist media which impedes free discussions. Wonderful? Admirable?
@nocancelcultureaccepted9316 Жыл бұрын
@@noivongxoang235 It’s all about the culture and I’ll elaborate on it. Whether it’s democratic or communist, if the mindset of the people is slum and corrupt, the country will remain a third world country. The overseas Vietnamese who do not assimilate with their adopted country and resist to keep their Vietnamese culture still live with the slum and corrupt mindset. For instance: these Vietnamese are more likely to commit crimes, such as shoplifting, robbery, and littering indiscriminately. While the Vietnamese who adapt with the new culture tend to succeed and prosper. Another example is to compare an area where it’s densely populated by the Vietnamese, such as Westminster, CA vs. San Gabriel, CA, where it’s densely populated by the Chinese. The two areas show a huge difference in all aspects; such as there’s less crime or virtually no crime in San Gabriel than in Westminster. As a Vietnamese, I know this fact throughout Vietnamese communities across the world. It’s a shame to be Vietnamese sometimes. Rất đáng tiếc văn hóa người Việt vẫn còn hẹp hòi lạc hậu, thô lỗ nên từ già đến trẻ đến cha mẹ đến thầy cô giáo đến chính phủ lãnh đạo đều có đầu óc tư tưởng tham lam gian lận trộm cắp, thiếu ý thức vứt rác iả đái bừa bãi, thiếu trật tự lộn xộn ồn ào. Vì vậy, xã hội thành phố lúc nào cũng lộn xộn ồn ào, bẩn thỉu dơ dáy, lường gạt trộm cắp khắp nơi.

Super clean and delicious food. Restrooms on every level in Landmark 81, is spotless and shiny, every I go there I just want to take good nap. It's a wonderful place to avoid the heat and enjoy good food. The top level with amazing views of HCM city. I once visited the park right across the street from Landmark 81, super well maintained, so peaceful and relaxing.
