Typically a silent observer; I'm a 41 year old recent widow from Toronto, Canada and a long time subscriber. There aren't many vloggers/youtubers in general that I can watch these days, but I watch yours because you truly come across real and down to earth and I value those qualities. Alexis, please continue to be your authentic self--that's who we are here to see and support. I know I don't come to youtube to watch other people live "perfect" lives...it's just not real or relatable, and there are so many aspects of life these days that are insincere, inauthentic, fake etc. Your people will find you (some already have). Keep on being unapologetically you

I am 43yrs of age (but often am told I look like I am in my late 20s) and don't care for a lot of other KZbinrs... I don't like "fakeness" or people that want to be just like others lacking authenticity. I also like and appreciate Alexis' down to Earth real personality. She's my top fav KZbinr, watching every video. No one else has a channel like hers, that I have seen... and I've seen ALOT. Alexis, you are unique and beautiful just the way you are! 🥰😍 WE LOVE YOU! P.S. I do not see anything wrong with your face, we wouldn't even know if you didn't point it out.

Hi Alexis! I struggle with perioral dermatitis and it looks exactly like your rash. Saw a bunch of dermatologists as well with no help. I had to completely stop wearing makeup over the rash. I also stopped using skin care products over that area a well. It was the only thing that worked. Letting my skin breath and heal by itself. It took months but now it’s much better and I can use sensitive skin products on my skin and don’t have flare ups often. I also only use physical sunscreen on my face now.

I drink an iced matcha latte with almond milk (unsweetened almond breeze brand) and some stevia EVERYDAY for like the past 20 or so years. Seriously. It is SO healthy, with antioxidants, it being high alkaline and it TRULY helps with eye sight! It gives good happy energy, unlike some coffee that will make you feel bad, irritable or crash - because it is acidic (low alkaline) and has mold (hence the crash). After I drink the green tea, I have avocado toast (high alkaline) and then make ORGANIC coffee (low acidic, mold free also). Coffee has more pesticides than other food related items, so they say. So best to stick to organic, look up the side effects of pesticides. Cilantro removes heavy metals from the body, chew a small bunch everyday. Also, take NAC everyday. You may have a wheat gluten or dairy allergy. Intestinal candida, aka yeast overgrowth can also cause food allergies and yeast can cause rash. I have been battling with it for years from taking antibiotics long time ago. I would recommend not giving your cat nor yourself faucet water (worms/parasites and metals). Instead bottled water. I've been giving my cats bottled water for a very long time and they are healthy. Also, fleas can lead to worms... cats can go outside ONE time and come back with that problem.... sucks. You can give your cat coconut oil to eat everyday as it is anti - viral, bacterial, fungal. I also use it as butter for cooking or to put on veggies. After I apply the oil and then seasoning it literally tastes like butter to me. Butter has ALOT of bacteria in it!!!! Even organic butter! Has viruses and bacteria! Herpes is from dairy and cold sores and fever blisters are from dairy consumption. Herpes virus is IN and FROM dairy!!! I drink almond milk and also on a GF diet years now. Cat food with too much wheat gluten and grain can cause issues in cats, I buy the 4health grain free cat food online from tractor supply store - good price and quality. If I were in your situation I would buy that mini washer that you hook up to the kitchen faucet. You could hang dry some clothes on the shower curtain pole in bathroom and use you mini dryer. If you mentioned it here on your channel and created a go fund me or patron account I would donate money to you to help you purchase it. I am certain many others would also help you out!

Hi Alexis, I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this, especially the frustration of not knowing exactly what it is, even after seeing several dermatologists. I’ve had perioral dermatitis twice after using too many products that end up disrupting the skin barrier (acids, retinols, etc) … I had to go on antibiotics and a very basic cleanser and moisturizer routine and change my toothpaste to non fluoride. I hope you feel better soon, you look very pretty with or without a rash so try to not let it get to you too much. Big hugs, loved the long and honest vlog. ❤

Loved the video! Hope the reset sticks this week (I feel you!). One note re: skin issues-so many products constantly interchanged will take your skin down a rough journey. I was in a rut for a while now due to losing my dog recently. I mean he was really old and had a wonderful long life but he moved with me to the city and now I feel soul deep loanly. No one can really understand you really. Like “Dude it's just a dog, snap out of it” and such…i mean no one actually dared say that but the message is there!! Anyway I kind of lost my routine and gave myself a break which you should never ever do because coming back from it is way more difficult then you think. One day I was surfing around and found you and you're so real and unpretentious and just trying to be your own better self and you just got to me. You go through normal people negotiation with yourself trying to eat healthier, be more social, self care, and so on, just basic routine stuff and I totally get you. Believe it or not it helped me so much this week and I finally feel my struggle is not unique and it's doable. Just if you don't mind cause I know you are there to advertise but I noticed you mentioned that Macha and your facial products if you can mention the name brand without breaking any rules of vlogging please do next time. I'd love trying something new. Btw one suggestion if you're interested in also not a yoga person. I always feel like I'm doing it wrong but I love Pilates it makes me feel like I put air between my joints and I'm walking tall. Anyway, thanks again you for getting me out of myself. I needed that.

I used to get really bad eczema on my eyelids and finally realized it was my eyeshadow I was wearing

If you’ve ever used topical steroids, stopping the use of them could cause topical steroid withdrawal. I went through it after grad school and it was horrible. It turned into eczema all over my face. The tumeric tea you drink is a good choice cause consuming anti inflammatory products was really helpful. I stopped my whole skin care routine and just used moisturizer for a whole year. I did use a natural soap from DR as well really really helped.

Ohhhh Alexis, I so feel your frustration ❤️ It took me so long to figure out I had rosacea, and it took even longer to figure how to actually manage it. I used to (and let’s be honest, sometimes still do) get so embarrassed over my ruddy cheeks to the point where I could hardly leave home without full coverage foundation. The frustration has eased a lot now that I know my causes, but I still have occasional angry-crying days. You are so normal and valid for that. Remember that the other creators you compare yourself to, they are editing out their “hot mess” moments and showing the world their highlight reel. Hi! I've had this type of rash in the past for different reasons: 1) my skin had enough of all the products I was using and was just going wild. I threw it all, started from fresh with atopic skin products only: Roche Posay, Caudalie, Avene (I think they're in the US too). The least ingredients, the more organic ones, the better + use your hands more than cotton pads and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. 2) Allergies (anything from food to mite dust and pollen)... Have you tried taking antihistamine here and there when it flares up, just to see? I'm surprised no doc gave you some cream with a bit of cortisone to at least calm the flaring up. It's not ideal on the long run but when the crisis hits, it's a relief.

some of these i need to remember, my family often used La Roche Posay as well I started using the Avene sunscreen and wanna try the Caudalie skincare, see if my red dry skin improves

even though its late where i am i couldnt stop myself from watching this whole vlog 😳 i’d love if you could share the recipes or where you got them from! i also want to eat healthier and that butter chicken looked sooo good! also, as someone who dealt with a lot of similar mystery skin issues a few years ago: you look beautiful, rash or no rash. i know its hard to *feel* beautiful, but as im sure you’ve already discovered, panicking about it isnt very productive. no dermatologist or doctor could figure out what was on my face either and i tried SO MANY creams and treatments to combat it, but i had it for YEARS. what ended up clearing it for me was applying coconut oil to it everyday. but ik some cases could be related to diet, or even stress. i do hope it goes away soon, but i would highly recommend being patient with it and doing trial treatment methods where you try something for a week or two and if it worsens or stays the same, you move on to something else. if something helps, stick with it until it doesn’t help anymore or until it clears. remember the whole body is connected, so changes in diet, exercise and emotional health can also be something you can track to see if theres any connection with flare ups ⭐️ lovely vlog, tysm for being so vulnerable and real with your audience! i can definitely relate 🧡

I thought of a couple of things with your rash. Do you usually let your face wash sit on your face for a couple of minutes before you rinse it off? Right now I am using a Korean face wash, and let it sit on my skin for a minute or two before rinsing and it is helping heal my skin. But also.. I’m sure you already know that L’Oréal purchased cerave, and some of their formulas have changed in the last couple of years. I’m wondering if that could be it?

I’ve had a similar flare up before. Around my eyes, and neck. It’s itchy, feels hot and creates texture on the skin. The only thing that made it calm down was a steroid pill, steroid cream and minimal skincare. Super minimal, gentle face wash and aquaphore (eucirin). My doctor had said it’s an allergic reaction/ eczema. I was emotional too, everything I did seems to make it worse. What you are feeling is normal.

Re skin issues. I had awhile where my skin flared up all around my chin and mouth and a dermatologist did legit nothing. Now, I am not saying this could be the nausea of yours, but it's always good to hear other people's experiences. Mine ended up being an underlying infection in my body. My pH get imbalanced VERY easily and for some reason it showed itself on my face. So! Once I got a course of antibiotics and then probiotics, everything cleared up. And now I just do everything I can to keep my pH in order and it seems to help. Food for thought. Also, for me, the simpler the skin care, the better.

Hey girlie. I'm mostly a lurker but I work nights and have a lot of free time so when I saw an almost hour video I knew it would help me get through the shift. Thanks for keeping me company! So something you should look for is a zoodle maker. The one I think for you is sort of hourglass shaped pair of giant pencil sharpeners, connected at the points, about the size of a soda can. It's about 10 bucks. Cheap and easy. Make your zoodles as you eat them so your zucchini stays fresh longer. Coconut is such a great oil. Just don't get it too hot. Nothing wrong with olive oil either. Both oils are great for almost anything. When I was little I would get rash. Sometimes it was from sensitivity to soap and not rinsing well. But other times it was pure stress. It wasn't always hives or visible. So... mental health and self care can help with random rashes. I'm proud of you for all the changes made. If you start falling back into old unwanted habits just step back and focus on tiny changes you can make. Give yourself a week to develop each little thing into a new habit. Like maybe this is the week you skip coffee but then that's all you are working on. Tea is literally any herb steeped in hot water, not always proper tea. Try any herb you like to cook with. Basil comes to mind. A fav is mint! You can also add lemon or vanilla to your tea. You can make agua fresca. Blended fresh fruit with sparkling water, served over ice. Look for manuka honey. It's Australian I think and extra special medicinal properties. I used it for an open wound after I was injured in a fire. You can try it on your acne and on your rash or make a hair mask. Later! Also you look so much like Lady Gaga.

as someone who grew up sick and actually DO have a “listen to your body” basis + extreme anxiety and panic disorder, you can imagine its a fun ride 🤪 health anxiety is so real and needs to be talked about more often, especially with us consuming so much media that’s like “do this, do that! gut health! heart health! hormonal balance! seeds!” it can be a lot. I think the listening to yourself is more like, one you disconnect from meditate in a calm space, breathing thoroughly, how do you feel? listen to THAT and not much else. its a learning curve for sure and anxiety begets health issues so its ironic and difficult but as long as you slow down and listen so you *get to know* your body, you can then trust it to tell you when something is wrong

Perorial dermatitis on and off for a few years now and some things that have helped mine: - Osmia black clay soap - Cutting out sodium laureth sulfate in all skin and hair care - cutting out any type of foaming face products - check your toothpaste. Changing toothpastes seems to cause it to flare up for me Hopefully this can give you some relief! I know the struggle and it sucks, especially because it's on your face.

It taste a lot better I found! Hope this helps!I drink water drop and love most of the flavors! Echoing what other people are saying - your realness and authenticity are very likable. It's way more appealing to watch your real-life struggles than influencers who pretend to have perfect lives.

Hi sis, just found you a few weeks ago. Love your content and your energy. Sooo I have that too, the anxiety of becoming ill, it's called hypochondrisis. We are hypochondriacs. Im actually struggling with it pretty bad too... I think it's bc of how chaotic the world is. Keep doing what you're doing, I'm actually starting my new routine today as well. Also in the mornings, right when you wake up, drink warm water with a splash of apple cider vinegar. It's great for... so many things! It gives you energy, betters your metabolism, helps with burning fat, keeps you full longer so you don't over eat, helps with skin... etc. Detoxes .. lol. Sending your a virtual hug! -Vanessa

Thankyou for being real and honest and having the guts to experiment with food. I’ve recently been growing mushrooms from a kit. Fresh mushroom cooked with, olive oil, garlic, lemon and salt added at the end. Tastes fantastic and great for mental health, all that vitamin B. You ll be amazed ;)

As a fellow anxious and health anxious woman in her 50s... this is also so relatable! But it will be OK... take it a day at a time, and be kind to yourself. Life is hard sometimes!

I tried a lot of products I had this on my lips the start of summer...on my skin too. I finally decided to try vaseline for some reasons and it works the minute I put it. It still coming back but vaseline really helps for me, it makes it goes away after 1-2 days. if you havent tried vaseline yet give it a go. may be it can help to reduce the effect.

I only get egg yolks, not the yukky whites. I have an egg separator. It works really well. I put sliced cucumbers in my water. It's delicious.

Hey there, On the face rash front. Research ozone. My hubby gets rashes from flying and when there is high ozone. It might be worth it to track ozone levels in New York and see if it lines up with your rashes.

I’m half way through your video, and still watching! - not many people I would watch a 54 minute video for lol. I use to get rashes under my chin due to hayfever and food allergies. When you were talking about it being itchy and what was happening it kinda rang a bell. Feel free to ignore but thought I’d make the suggestion. Totally understand about health anxiety. It’s really difficult when you have different things going on and your not sure why. Hope you get your answers and thank you for talking about it so openly xx
