Cameron is someone who needs to be needed, but only as a fixer, not as a companion. She gets her worth from fixing people. It’s why she became a doctor, why she married a dying man, and was broken by his death regardless of how obvious that outcome was going to be, why she was in love with House, and why her relationship with Chase was always doomed to fail. Chase didn’t have any glaring physical or psychological problems for her to cure. His murder of Dibala didn’t change any of that, it just gave her the excuse she needed to leave.

Agree. She always had good intentions but it feels like her own principles and opinions comes first primarily for her own good, not for the people around her. It's too self serving. In season one, when there was a baby epidemic, she wasn't upfront to the parents that their kid was dying because she thought she was giving them "some few hours of hope". When things went south and the baby died, she got tail between legs when she needed to deliver the bad news. She couldn't even do it that Wilson needed to do it for her. That's when I thought that this character is very weak and inconsistent. Even the character development was weak. She wanted Chase to feel bad and guilty for what he did when in fact, it's the opposite. Chase was standing for what he did, taking responsibility and he didn't regret it.

He's completely in the right. She never properly communicated to him and always acted entitely on impulse. She thinks she operates on a high level of morality but she actually uses it as a smokescreen to convince herself the validity of her actions. She's valid for having her feelings about how others act but how she acts and why she feels how she does are all entitely irrational and inconsistent. The reality is she ran away from the marriage for the same reason she ran away from the job - she's weak. She's afraid of having to change becauae she doesn't know who she is and is more afraid of what she would be. She sees men with, in her mind, no morality and it goes againat her sole self-comforting mechanism. She was the toxic one, beginning to end.

She loved having Chase being enamored with her and pursuing her. She diminished their romantic moments to the equivalent of microwave pizza. When Chase characterized it as meaning/being something more than that---at least for him, she distanced herself from him, calling off their "Tuesdays". She made it so that she had Chase desiring her, and so she could set the terms. When it seemed the terms were no longer hers to dictate, she ends their relations. Even professionally, Cameron hates when she's NOT dictating the ethical framework or moral tone. This all traces back to the loss of her 1st husband. Cameron felt powerless to stop what was happening. By the time she wed him, as House surmised, Cameron already knew he was a terminal. IMO, Cameron just couldn't be "stuck" with the tag--woman who abandons her terminally ill boyfriend. Cameron did the same with that terrible doctor who unethically performed experiments on infants w/o obtaining informed consent (the title of the episode). Cameron upon learning of the doctor's malfeasance could not let herself be seen as the doctor who let her terminally ill patient die a slow, agonizing death on the off chance that she personally loathed him for his despicable experiments. Cameron needs to maintain a holier than thou status. In effect, the spit was because she could NOT make peace with someone who is capable of defending what Chase did to Dibala. Chase was unwilling to pretend it did NOT happen and this made Cameron feel that he is morally flawed, and therefore, not a suitable partner FOR HER!

She was weird from the beginning, in her intense need to Connect and emotionally bond. The characters she bonded with, and the fact that while her relationship with chase was cute or sweet, it seemed too smooth, no satisfying textures, just simple comfort and passionless. Suffice to say, i think she needed to be with chase, be in a real and Regular relationship to see that it didn't need to be a certain High from Low type of relationship (married to someone dying so every day is cherished and lived to the fullest), to understand what a regular comfy marriage could be.

IVe finally started to realise she was the Willson of the "new" trio. Chase was House, Foreman was Cuddy and Cameron was Willson. Of course, they had their differences towards their respectives. But they portrayed the "What if..." versions of the "adult" ones. Chase was the "What if House wasn't always in pain and he could open to people". Foreman was the "What if Cuddy didn't NEED external emotional support and was able to live on her own". This one is a bit far fetched since I couldn't totally grasp her character yet. But Cameron was the "What if House didn't need me" Willson. They both seeked people they could help to feel better and useful. House gave many headaches to Willson, but House in return gave him both the wild-fun side of life he wanted/needed AND the feeling of being useful (to the point of needed). Chase gave Cameron the same things House gave Willson... except Chase never really needed her. And that was the difference that made her leave. Makes you wonder what would Willson do if House started being an independent person. Would he leave their friendship? Just keep it to formalities between collegues? Anyways, trully a really well written story and set of characters. Love it all (even the annoying/triggering parts). SPOILER ALERT - Or maybe the Cuddy-Foreman thing ended up unresolved because Lisa's departure from the series.

Then they threw her onto Chase, w/ her still having some feelings for House. Finally, it became an easy "let me divorce you" to Chase. Many said if she married House, this would occur in reverse. @@earlefinlay3682 Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer were engaged in 2006, but called off their engagement in 2007. Cameron was written out of the show in 2009, two years after their engagement was called off. Also, Jennifer Morrison was only cast into Once Upon a Time after her character was already written off the show, meaning there was substantial time between when she was written off and she was cast on her new show.

The sad reality with women like Cameron is that they're chasing a feeling that's addictive. I remember hearing a quote about pleasure and joy (I can't remember the exact words, but it went like this): "Pleasure is temporary and requires constant chasing. Enjoy is everlasting. Choose enjoy."

I used to have a heart to be softer towards moments like this. Now im like Chase except im not going to be consoling after you shed a tear after taking my heart and treating it like the thief putting his teeth on the curb in american history x. You need to know pain. And the best pain is that which you caused. Why? Because ill hope you change after that. And no external force will ever change a person. The brick wall of your own mistakes will.

I adored Cameron. Yes she was an incredibly naive idiot but she genuinely understood house. All of a sudden her morality can’t take basically killing hitler? This show is PERFECT except for what the writers did to Cameron . :( they could’ve had her accept reality instead she doubles down on episode 1 Cameron. 🤦‍♂️ just shows how a writing mistake can affect a show.

She shouldn't have gotten involved with someone until she got her head straight. When i ended the last close relationship i had it took 2+ years before I would date again because I simply wasn't ready and it wouldn't have been fair to the next woman or to me to do so. Eventually you have to grow up and not just jump into relationships simply because your are lonely.

This was the worst part of the series imo not becayse it was poorly acted or anything but because cameron just let lust take over her brain and like others have said zhe loves fixing people rather than fixing herself. I loved chases character because he truly wanted to settle down for awhile and then because of her he lost himself till later in the series

A whole lot of people over the past 15 years have gotten sick of fairytale endings. Writers probably are, as well. I wanted the end of House to be House coming to a realization that he’s always been in love with Allison and coming over to her and brandishing her and then she rides with Wilson and House, on the back of House’s motorcycle and while resting in a field, him holding her, they kiss and Wilson makes a happy face and series fades out. That fairytale. I am *not* sick of fairytales. 😄😄

The episode is called Locked In and its about leptospirosis which I caught from an infected dog in late 2006 which gave me a brain infection and I ended up getting a cruel excruciating debilitating severe case of trigeminal neuralgia because of it which completely destroyed my picture perfect life I had at that time. And I was making a joke about the guilt trip because of the fact that the 5 senses decided to go all love potion #9 on me and I didnt deserve to catch feelings for a serial cheater when I despise cheaters because my aunt killed herself because of getting cheated on by the man she loved. You know whats really sad, In my 32yrs of life ive learned that women can go along with relationships just because she feels like its what she's supposed to do because of how much the man loved her and was their for her, even while never truly loving him herself, they feel like its an obligation because she needed someone and he was their and he deserves her, .....and sadly later they wake up realizing they never loved the man, they just love how much he loved her.
