NO PROBLEM WITH THE BACK PANEL!!! nr200p needs to be turned upside down and swap the lower and upper panels + expand the front panels 180. You only need to make 1 rectangular hole to hang the power supply (corner of the power supply bracket). THAT'S IT! it remains only to fix the radiator from above (240) or figure out how to fix it (280).

Can confirm... NR200 exterior panels work on NR200P Max. Got rid of my gray panels for NR200 base model black ones. TG side panel is the same too. Chassis is different, less the panel attachment points. Real price is currently $459 for the Max, which isn't a good value anymore. But the Max really is that much better that I ate the cost. Also you have a couple options for a 3.5" drive which isn't widely known. Bottom panel has cutouts for 3.5" pattern grommets. You lose a fan down there but it won't interfere with GPU. Consider setting lower fan(s) to exhaust and the case will remain a negative pressure case, drawing air in the from the sides. If you absolutely must use TG side panel, probably set the bottom fan(s) to intake and use lower power components to make less heat. I opted for mesh side panel.

The lack of bottom fans had be bewildered too. Those thermals weren't special. I get similar or better thermals from my heatbox Evolv Shift 2 using only a 120mm AIO and mixture of TG and Mesh side panels. You would have to experiment on the orientation of the fans. Do you run them as exhaust or intake?

Max make sense if you can fit like 2x 120mm slim fans downstairs like jayz pointed out, it's a missed opportunity. If this had a platinum PSU in it, it would already be in my cart. As is, I want a bare case so I can install my own PSU and an AIO of my choice. One of the reasons for this case may be that they had overstock on the PSU and the CM AIO got panned in reviews because it was too easier to install incorrectly and bust the rad open. This may be their solution to get rid of overstock that they can't sell otherwise.

absolute loving the upgrades here, now got more options for my upcoming build, was wondering tho if you can fit 2 slim 120mm fans below for better airflow

They should fit. I did mention that in the video. I didn't get time to test yet because this video was pushed out WAY faster than it should have been.

@@GearSeekers thanks for the fast reply, keep up with the great content, also maybe if you could test down the line with some aftermarket gpu coolers, if having two intakes in the bottom and the TG panel would improve thermals since it forces airflow from bottom to exhaust in the top ?

For me the deal breaker is that there is no horizontal GPU mount. For 2 reasons: cancels the benefits of convection flow setup, particularly for founders edition cards with the pass-through, and that you cannot see your Mobo, Pump and Ram if your systems has fancy parts. So... Cooler Master, how about a V3 ? :)

This is a reason why I'm planning to get the original NR200p for my first ITX build.

Honestly, I watched your previous build on the original NR200P case and decided that I'll go with a NZXT Kraken X63 280mm and Corsair SF750. Would you say that the NR200P MAX has better cooling/performance than ur original build here? (With the nzxt kraken x63) I totalled them up, and they are currently $480 AUD in total. (NR200P case, NZXT Kraken X63, SF750)

There is a mod to get a radiator on the top of an NR200P - basically, it involves flipping the case upside down, and requires a bit of drilling, but it is apparently fairly simple to accomplish if you're willing to drill out the rivets.

How much room is behind the motherboard area? I was curious if you would be able to fit a GPU with a built in AIO and place the rad on the back side.

I just wish CoolerMaster would sell the top rad brackets separately, even without them and minimal modding I managed to fit a Aorus Xtreme 3080 horizontally (it basically sits on the bottom of the case) with a top mounted Kraken Z53 (with swapped out slim fans) and I can still use my glass side panel without sacrificing temps

Switch front usb and pwr button location to the front side of the case and bottom and top panels to be matching parts -> Flipping the case to right side orientation would be great. Then add possibility to add feet on the rear panel so people can set this case in vertical position also.

$349 for all of that is CRAZY good value! Edit: Just did some calculations based on Amazon prices of an equivalent older case model build (Same PSU. Similar Corsair 280mm AIO, it just has a fancier CPU pump. Came out to be about £350 ($480). That's how good of a deal this new case setup is.
@TheNannerBeans
@TheNannerBeans 3 жыл бұрын
The price from USD to GBP isn't a straight conversion because of import taxes. A fair comparison would be to look up the price of similar products in the US. On Amazon, the psu is $145, the white NR200P is $104, and the CM ML280 cooler or EVGA CLC 280 is $90. That's a total of $339 vs $349 for this kit. So basically it's about the same value as if you bought everything separately.

Great video Nick! i'm sorta concerned that it has a weird radiator tube length, how well does it take other 280mm aios? will it take the arctic 280mm for example? are there any complications? the nr200p max is nice but it has the same problem as the nzxt h1 for me. it's a big upfront cost for a "case" although it comes with a cooler and psu

US prices. $350 for the whole thing minus the PSU which can be found on sale for $145. Then the AIO and the cheapest 240 you can find is about $80 which leaves $125 for the case and the riser cable which is the same as it would cost you to just buy the NR200P non max version alone (the P version has the riser cable). Not a bad deal at all considering many of the parts are already installed and how easy it is to build in.
