I love your videos, thank you. You'll find a veritable feast on/around the beach at Trefor, I've just literally collected some Carrot seeds to dry to infuse into oil this morning. Enjoy your walk, once again, diolch yn fawr!

I’ve got a video on foraging books. A good starting point for coastal foraging would be edible seashore by John Wright. There’s my Amazon affiliate link in the description of that video if you like :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqTIdKuOa7SMd5I

Perfect timing. My parents have recently moved to the SE coast! Instead of open water swimming I'll do some foraging instead. Or maybe both! Beautiful beaches in Wales. Hoping to visit this year for some swimming.

Thank you Lewis. Very interesting and I’ll certainly look out for those. I was wondering if you ever find anything high in carbs along the beaches to go with all of the veg and protein?

Given that the UK water companies release hundreds of thousands of litres of untreated sewage into the seas and rivers on a regular basis are you at all concerned about eating the food you forage? How about bi-valves filtering the water? We used to regularly forage for cockles, mussels and razorshells but have been put off doing it nowadays.
@chucky2316 Жыл бұрын
Always have done that 😂 just use common sense stay away from harbours and sewer outfalls all is fine
