It’s been amazing seeing you go from your OG Trader Joe’s haul to now going on nature walks with your husband and fur son! 🥰 it makes my heart so happy seeing you take what you’ve been telling your viewers for so long (I.e. nature, self-care, etc) and now getting to LIVE it in ever sense of the word. You’ve always lived your truth and it’s so refreshing 🥰

I really enjoy experiencing the different seasons on the other side of the world through channels based in the southern hemisphere. Since NZ's climate is so similar to San Francisco's, it helps me looks forward to the future, which is a big deal for someone with depression. It helps ground me in the present, and gives a taste as to what's to come.

Been watching your videos for a while. I'm a Kiwi who has lived in Japan since 1984. I lived in the Turangi area from 1972 to 1978 and I'm pretty sure that the swing bridge that Lanka was not happy about crossing is the is the Major Jones bridge a little up-river from the house of our family doctor at that time (on Kokopu Street). My wife and I will be flying back to Auckland to live in NZ in mid June, and depending where we are placed for isolation, we may travel down to Christchurch, our final destination, by a rental campervan passing through Turangi on the way. As in the way you both semi-isolated in Taupo, we don't want to go direct to my parents' place in Canterbury (they are both in their late 70's early 80's) just in case we find that we are infected with COVID after leaving managed isolation, and maybe travelling down from the North Island would be a way to deal with that, and give us some time to wind down after our move.

Getting out into nature is something that is so healing for me especially when I'm more overwhelmed. I've spent the last week getting out hiking as much as I can in Ontario's questionable spring :)

Being an expat in NZ myself for a couple of years now and having explored some much of its mindblowing beauty, I find it so interesting how beautiful you see these trails that are just average in my opinion. Your mind will be blown once you explore the hidden gems, if you guys are up for the challenge and the adventure. To name a few in the surrounding Taupo area: go up mount tauhara, mount Urchin in the Kaimanawas, Tarawera Falls and lake to hot springs, Putaruru blue springs (this is the easiest walks with crystal clear blue water springs!!) whirinaki - just to name a few...

Lanka's 🐕 coat is so soft you can tell by just looking, makes you want to snuggle in to his fur, I used doggy perfume on my dog one time, he ran around the backyard like hella crazy, then he went and rolled on the grass to try and get it off, he was letting me know "no more perfume" 🙅🏽♀️😁 And your walk through nature 🌴🍂 absolute bliss 👌🏽 thanks for sharing your day with us.

Hi Carrie saw your vlog come up on my subs list this morning and decided not to view it until this evening. Good decision excellent post to watch going to bed so relaxing. I have not watched Alex’s post from a couple of days ago on mental health & clarity as I think it will need some quiet time to appreciate his thoughts. The both of you are amongst my favourite KZbinrs.

I moved from Poland to US in 2016 also with 2 suitcases and I shipped 7 big packages with my things at least shipping from Poland was not that expensive - like it would be other way around, and I got them in one month- economy shipping. You have so cute dog. I love such vlogs from woods. I like going to woods/forests/nature too as it is so relaxing. Greetings from Boston area :)
