@HawaiiDetailing2 жыл бұрын
It’s all together different. This is a semi permanent coating. It last a long time without much trouble at all. Maybe for some that drive a lot it may require a touchup here and there. Perl only last a few weeks tops.

Still looking fantastic! Keep us updated on how it's doing. Other than how long it will last, the other question I'm curious about is how easy it will be to remove with it's time to replace/reapply. Some of those coatings can be a bear to get the remnants off...

I’m looking to protect and keep my black trim and running boards black on my Tesla Y. Is this the stuff? Have you done a video on this yet? Thanks!
@HawaiiDetailing2 жыл бұрын
This is some heavy duty stuff. It lasts for a long time. It’s more a semi permanent product to blacken faded plastic in my opinion. It also is a semi permanent tire dressing. It works great but if you decide to use it do a few practice runs before going on the car to learn how to apply it. It’s not hard but takes a few passes. I plan to use it more in the future so you can check it out and decide if it’s right for you. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

Would you still recommend this as a tire coating? I tried permashine and it didn’t hold up well. Started flaking and cracking. I used purple power to stripe the tire down. Cleaned it really well. Also tried it on another vehicle.
@HawaiiDetailing2 ай бұрын
@@lmSteveo I still use it regularly. Works well and lasts a good amount of time. Does require a touch up here and there so it’s definitely not permanent.
@lmSteveo2 ай бұрын
@ if I can get like 2-3 weeks I’m good with a touch up. Permashine didn’t stick well for me on 2 different cars. I used purple power to strip the tire down. Started cracking and flaking off right after I started driving the car the next morning.
@HawaiiDetailing2 ай бұрын
@ this is better than what you are describing for sure. Should work well for you. With all detailing products you just have to be realistic with expectations based on the environment you are in. This has worked great for me.

Is your foam cannon connected to just a regular hose? Reason I'm asking is I only wash my truck ol school with just a bucket, car wash soap and a soft hand scrubber, never used a these canons before. Thank you.

As for tires, I have no complaints about the durability of this product. However, I do NOT like shine on anything but paint and glass. This product is way too shiny for me. VRP, VRT & Perl may be a bit more expensive and don’t last nearly as long but they are all 3 quick and easy to apply with shine control to boot. Trim pieces are even worse, shine on those is … ummm … just gross looking imo. Cerakote Trim Coat is the bomb for exterior trim. In this case, CTC is just as messy and much more stinky but lasts considerably longer and looks way better … also imo. Disclaimer: I am NOT a poo-pooer on Renew Pro Black or any other product they produce. In fact, I actually like the Black product if I could get rid of the shine. If you like shiny stuff on vehicles THIS product will more than satisfy your needs. I highly recommend it if that’s your thing. Get on with your bad self. I prefer VRP, VRT or Perl. Any of those and I’m aces. That’s just me. 👍
@HawaiiDetailing2 жыл бұрын
I routinely use other dressings as well. This product appeals more to the people who want incredible durability. Before a long winter or rainy season etc. Believe it or not the question that I get asked the most when reviewing a tire dressing is "how long does it last" so I wanted to bring one in that lasts damn near forever. Hahahaha Thanks for watching
