My pantry is very pretty filled with home canned items and I think you are wrong to say just because somebody's pantry is neat and organized that it is manufactured for you tube. I am not a youtuber but my pantry is beautiful.

I like your honesty and the fact that your real and down to earth. So many people we see have over the top prepping that seems unrealistic, especially in smaller homes. For those of us learning to work in these spaces, it is a help to see someone managing it.

One of my favorite prepping containers are the 2 1/2 gallon "potato" buckets I get from food services at the hospital I work at. Smaller than the 5 gallon buckets so they're easier to handle than a heavily packed 5 gal. but they use the same size lids, so gamma lids work on them.

Might I suggest turning your flat shelves into "I" beam shelves. Take 3/4 inch thick wood and cut to match the length of your shelves X (by) 2 1/4, center on the sides then glue and screw to the sides. This will make an "I" shape. This will make them stiffer so they won't bow under a heavy load. If you don't want the lip that will stick above the shelf, you can use 1 1/2 inch strips and mount them flush with the top of the shelf making a "C" shape. Not as strong as an I beam, but better than flay. Don't forget to notch the ends so they rest fully on the slats.

Nice amount in a small space. May wanna package those boxed/bagged items into Mylar with oxygen absorbers and put into a bucket or use mason jars and OA to keep mice/bugs from getting into them. Stack cereal boxes flat on top of each other to make more space.

Right?! I wish I had a basement to create a Prepper Pantry but we don’t have that space. We use space in our laundry room for our midterm and long term storage. It’s what works for us. :)

We are lucky enough to have a built in pantry in our kitchen, but otherwise I use under the bed storage bins for store bought canned items.

I use the minimalist baker vegan gluten free pumpkin pie recipe. The crust is super simple and I use it for all pies.
