A RETIRED DANCER'S POV- Gfriend "Love Whisper" M/V+Dance Practice

Hey Buddies, so as I said in the beginning of this reaction video, I’m writing this pinned comment to let y’all know why I’ve been slowing down on Gfriend content. The last several Gfriend videos I uploaded had many comments arguing back and forth about a photo situation that was capable of offense to a group of people. When I tried to bring things to a calm with the ones arguing, I ended up being labeled x3n0ph0b!c, which I questioned the person who made that label: “how could I be X-word when I literally wouldn’t be here in this world if both of my parents weren’t survivors from the Cambodian Genocide where millions of Cambodians were kill3d in the late 70s? They were tortured by our own kind and they luckily escaped and made a life here. I would be the last person to be anywhere near the X-word considering what my parents lived through, so please think about furthering conversation for truth versus throwing a label on someone and something you know nothing of”. Then of course, that person just replied “it’s not that deep dude, unsubbed, good luck with your channel”. So yeah, I was tired of coming across the same issue and decided to lay low for awhile. And even with time in between my Gfriend content, I’d still get comments saying they’re disappointed in me for reacting to Gfriend. If y’all Buddies feel a lack of Gfriend content, and content for other artists that becomes a popular topic for toxic Twitter, this is why. I hope y’all understand, and more so, I hope others understand that me staying neutral to things that I have no 100% truth and facts about doesn’t make me a bad person. I prefer to aim for being part of the solution versus part of the problem, and if I based all of my choices and beliefs off of feelings versus truth, then I’d be walking away from the aim I’m going for. PS. If more chaos happens or if anyone starts fighting and/or calling each other names, I will delete the comments without warning. I'm not trying to make my comment section a carbon copy of toxic Twitter.

They do not understand that a person can be wrong and because they are clueless or uneducated on certain issues, the photo was taken by the company's staff and approved to be published on the artist's social network, here it is not only the idol, it goes beyond that. Many Koreans knew of the existence of that mannequin in that coffee shop and there are even photos of other people with that mannequin and no one alleged anything, the person in charge of looking to rent the place did not notice it when he offered it to the artist's company. All of this got into the hands of the haters and they distorted everything at their convenience.

Fun fact: the whole circle part of the choreography was intentionally designed to be danced in shallow water. All the sweeping leg movements and outward kicks create really pretty waves & splash patterns.

The details love whisper has is so intricate, so specific, and even if the moves are considered basics, gfriend does it in a way that makes it complicated af to do... You also need total control of your body for this... The formation changes, the amount of spins, level changes, even fucking holding hands with other members you need to do in under a second, and we all know how had it is to coordinate holding hands in choreography... Like bruh, a lot of people cant even do high fives properly... Love Whisper is just too ridiculously hard, gfriend didnt even do a 2x speed with love whisper, i think its the only one that got skipped (of course aside from the newer releases)

Love Whisper is like a nightmare to every trainees.. they ALWAYS avoid it. We all know why. They're literally perfect! They're the most talented group I've seen.. that's why i started stanning them.. I don't think there's a word to describe how good and perfect they are. I think Queens, Legendary, Best and Icon is an understatement word to use to describe Gfriend.. Gfriend is the first one to make me wow when i FIRST saw them.. i stan a lot of Groups too before them.. but when i saw them... I was like.. THEIR TALENT IS OVERFLOWING. Also hope that we'll finish their Title songs soon~ and hope that we'll also see you react to thier Bside tracks and live performance to their bsides~

YES!! In my opinion, this is their best song and their best choreo. It’s just a good song and the choreo has simple moves, but such intricate execution that makes it look so difficult. This is the first time I heard the term "organic" used to describe Gfriend's "Love Whisper" MV but I get what you mean. Honestly, the moment you broke into a smile is the best moment for me. This is the reason why we got into Gfriend. It's this joyful, energetic, nostalgic feeling that remind us about good things in life. Another beautiful comment is about them being together. Honestly, the idea of sisterhood for Gfriend is abundantly clear in almost all their MVs. The only one what I wouldn't put in this category is "Crossroads", but even that made their friendship the central theme. It's funny to hear you exclaim whether they actually danced in water. Gfriend danced in an artificial pond and the girls even commented how they marked spots where there were large rocks to avoid. Gfriend also danced on in a man-made water pond in their Show Championship stage. It's very satisfying to see you take so much pleasure from this choreo. It's famous as a product of a BTS choreographer and some of the members consider this the most challenging choreo because of the non-stop footwork. You pointedly noted how this dance requires energy and stamina to pull off. It's really informative to hear you talk about how the choreo choices in creating the dance, particularly about the breakdown of the movement based on the music. When one listens to a Gfriend song, often you don't think their choreo would be very vigorous or demanding. However, by seeing their actual choreo can one appreciate their intricate hand gestures and footwork required, as well as the constant formation changes and the pace by which Gfriend executes them. It's great to see you visit Gfriend again. Hope to see you again soon. BTW, you look great and stay healthy. Cheers.

The turns in the chorus is supposed to represent an antenna or a radar dish searching for signal. That's why their hands are on their ears, and the choppy turns imitates how radar dishes rotates. It also matches the lyrics on that part "I can hear it from anywhere, if I open my ears". Maybe they're searching for the "love whisper"? 😄

GFriend attract hate no matter what they do. They have been called fat, ugly, talentless, fake, boring you name it they have been called it. The incident you refer to was blown out of all proportion whilst jealous haters revelled in the ammunition it gave them to throw further shade at them. the turn where they had their hands cupped over their ears when the lyrics mentioned “ear (pronounced gwi)” as they mention “ear” in the lyrics as well. Also!! whisper in korean uses this character “ear” as it’s first character out of 3 characters. You can hear it again at the 2nd part of the chorus where they bring their hand back to their ears as well (listen to the word gwi). It’s a little nice thing to note as well which I really enjoyed. P.S in the chorus where the move with the peace over the eyes also mentioned eyes in the lyrics, highlighting the lyrics hehe I really enjoyed this choreo!! Esp when the lyrics hit along with the dance and musicality.

The reality is that this song is avoid from all the idols and traines, the key is really high and the choreos is one of the most difficult for gg in the history. BUDDYs just don't like the reactors who behave like GFRIEND music is boring thing coz there have no upbeat EDM and badass things such as some popular groups. GFRIEND don't do it.
