Just got a Q today (the pepsi version though). What a coincidence! Great video. I'm in love with this little guy, it reminds us that watches aren't always about the specs. They got the sizing, design and heritage all right! It actually is the watch that got me back into wearing a "regular" watch. I was wearing smarwatches for a while and when I saw the Q two years ago (when they launched) I just loved it. It is the reason why I started watching videos and reading stuff about watches, and it got my into this hobby. Never bought one until today, cause at that time I realized that there were much better watches (specs-wise) at that price and I went through the "mechanical/automatic only phase" that most of us go through when starting. With time, I started to appreciate quartz as well, and today I just bought it. Should have done it two years ago. But hey, it is here!

@@OneLordeAnimeClips it does rotate both ways. But it isnt 60 or 120 clicks, it rotates freely without any clicks. This watch is not a diver in any way.

I know I’m late to the Q game, but just bought one brand new in the box for $79.00. The only reason I didn’t want to buy one was the $179.00 price tag for a timex lol! But I actually am loving this watch with its retro styling and overall feel!

Great video. Timex will always have a spot in my collection. I'm currently sporting my Orient FUNG 2005D quartz pilot version piece. Under $100 and crazy accurate. Love me some Orients.

I own a Q Timex (Pepsi) and a Q Timex GMT (Batman). Both have a problem with the crown and movement. When I push in the crown, after taking advantage of the hacking feature and having set the time precisely, the minute hand jumps, either forward or backward, by maybe as much as two minutes. This makes setting a reliable time very difficult. Actually almost impossible. I am not alone in this. While no KZbin video review of the watches seems to mention this, I have read the same complaint in in other online reviews and comments. These are beautiful pieces, but setting the time on them is maddening.

I am able to quick set the day and date. In the same position, go forward for the date and backward for the day.

I have one and it hits pretty much all of the markers, 55/60. Better than a Citizen Eco-Drive I have, that costed me double. Unfortunately it seems that it is hit or miss with this cheap quartz pieces. If you care, I'd avise to buy one in person, so you could check it beforehand.

What if I can get this for $80, should I go for it? I tried to imrport Seiko 79k from Amazon US to India and its around $200 but this one even though is different and Quartz it's one third of price of that watch, I am confused should I go for it.

Love the look of this, I have the Pepsi version. TERRIBLE movement, minute hand jumps with crown pushes, can't change the day quickly, only date. Just not a great movement for what they are asking price wise honestly, wish it would have had something like an NH35 or similar at the $200 price point.

Timex offers the M79 if you want an automatic movement (argually bad for the price too, but that's what we get with these). This one has to have a quartz movement, otherwise the reissue wouldn't make sense. It's called Q for a reason, and it represents a time where having a quartz movement was cool and a novelty. But I agree that this particular movement is bad and cheap (and the minute hand jump definitely happens) and it should be better at 179€, But you set once and it is done. I'm actually ok with it, taking into consideration the size and design of the watch. And they are all over the internet for around 100-120 now that the 2019 hype is over.

It is not a dive watch, it only has 50m WR. But even Timex calls it "diver inspired". It sure has some hints of a diver. It is just a fun and inexpensive watch at the end of the day. And you can still use the bezel to time a second time zone and/or as a timing bezel.

Mmmm wow wee. Do we get some nice brushing on a pubic hairs width down the side of the case. I am glad we wont get a normal, satisfactory, audible "clicky bezel". I certainly am glad you wont be getting the quirks that you get from other watches that are ripping you off with their horrible, victorian, mechanical movements. Mmmm toolex. 😁
