A detail you may have missed: If you pay attention on Orxon, you'll notice different evironment types separated by the crevasses over toxic muck, implying that Orxon is/was another planet built from components of other planets.

@AlryFireBlade Ratchet exploration after getting the O2 Mask. Easiest part to spot this is when you hover down from the ship and go left, where the gunship starts attacking you, make your way through a small structure, then there's a platforming section. Pay attention to the different 'ground' part of the platform ingredients, and you'll see that they don't quite match as a consistent form of terrain for such a small area.

Ratchet's definitely just a very selfish brat for a majority of the first game with little empathy. As I mentioned it's pretty psychotic when you think about it. It was a good call by the developers to revamp his character going forward
@jeremybriggs69513 жыл бұрын
@@MrJarheadTV Oh that’s most definitely man to everything you mention And I quite emphasize with him on being stuck on a planet for god knows how long, and For those that defends this dynamic. I’ll get the terms character development but I’ve seen better from The beginning of a character growth that has somewhat of a Nauseous and Don’t turn off The players entrance of that set character and what makes Him think that his own home planet is not going to be in danger just like everyone else. Which is ironic considering that he just calling clank out for falling into Captain quirks trap. I’m glad that they did kept Ratchet personality after going commando.

@@jeremybriggs6951 Arthur Morgan, a mass murderer: Good man. Well deserved redemption. Known as one of the best characters in gaming. Ratchet: Selfish. Hateable. Psychotic. Why are some morally gray characters beloved while Ratchet is hated? Is not caring enough about strangers worse than killing hundreds of innocent people? I don't get it. I personally like when characters have a bit more to them than just being the classic good guy hero. And besides, every person Ratchet and Clank encountered just tried to rip them off in some way. The game is centered around greed and consumerism after all. Ratchet even says things like "Sell?! After we just saved your scrawny butt?!". But maybe I'm just still angry about how Ratchet turned out in the 2016 reboot. He is completely devoid of any personality whatsoever there. The Ratchet in the first game has the most interesting personality by far IMO. I wish they had kept it.

11:55 And let’s not forget that they would likely have to take out Qwark anyway since he was working for Drek.
@MrJarheadTV4 жыл бұрын
Super Lombax True but Qwark's just the spokesman, Drek's the one actually killing people so I just think Ratchet's priorities were out of line
@superlombax15614 жыл бұрын
MrJarhead - Game Reviews You’re not wrong, but I think Qwark was also meant to sorta be the bodyguard to Drek as well. So like what ended up happening with the Gemlik Base, he would’ve sent him to take out Ratchet & Clank sooner or later. I mainly say this because this is something Clank could’ve brought up to sorta still keep Ratchet on the path, which he kinda still goes on anyway. Though maybe not since Clank is still kinda naïve at that point in time.
@MrJarheadTV4 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's a good point and I do agree with you. It's not so much the idea of taking out Qwark that is the problem. I think Qwark needed to be taken out eventually since as you said he did act as a bodyguard for Drek. However while Ratchet's quest for vengeance is understandable, I think Ratchet should've just stayed focused on Drek. Actively straying away from their main target the way Ratchet did just cost more and more lives. As you said, If Drek sent Qwark after them then they just cross that bridge when they come to it, rather than prioritizing Qwark.

@@MrJarheadTV that whole game really stood out to me when I was like 8, I know Jak and daxter had beloved games but fate always had me checking out the ratchet and clank series, hell the first time I bought up your arsenal was in 2015. What I did a lot back then also was look at the sky in the levels because I think the second planet you go to is at night and I always loved how you could see planets that were really close to you and you could see shooting stars or ships
