This video is 10 years old. Longines still sells this watch, it;s a modern classic. Got mine six months ago, 40 mm, 4k retail now. Wore it everyday since except in the water. Longines now ships this with the L 687.5 movement which is an upgraded valjoux 7751. 66 hours of powerreserve, silicon balancespring. Mine runs 2 seconds fast a day out of the box. Still very much in love

I have a Hasler watch with the same Valjoux 7751. The movement has never let me down I believe it is a true workhorse.

I just did all my training on Longines for my job. Good god is there a lot to know. Love this watch and the 24 hour single push piece chrono.

Well presented, articulate and easy to listen to and understand. Your preparation really pays off. Of course it helps to have such a handsome and well made watch to describe. I prefer the 40 because even though I have a lot of wrist, I don't like the idea of size being an aesthetic quality in watches.

Buyer should be noted that previous model (like in this video) come with caliber 678.2 which has cam lever actuated chronograph. But the newer one come with caliber 687.2 with column wheel chronograph make it more desirable.

I just bought this watch on the used market. It was sold as new / unused. I got for a price which I am not sure of if it is the right price. It also came without box and papers. I bought it for 42% less than retail price is. When looking around you can get the same watch for a similar price with box and paperwork.

Great succinct review.Subbed. I tried one on the other day. For the money it seems a winner. I just shelled out for a Z-Blue Milgauss the other day so maybe this Longines next year🤔

I think BAUME & MERCIER Clifton 10278 Chronograph adds more value since it is an annual calendar where you need to adjust the date once a year. In the other hand Longines Master Collection Triple Calendar you need to monthly change the date and the Moonphase which may be cumbersome.

Awaiting delivery of mine (42mm). How is the timekeeping on this? I know it's not chronometer certified but hopefully within +/- 10 seconds per 24 hours.

Is the calendar perpetual? I was in a good watch shop yesterday and the assistant assured me that it was, or is it an annular calendar? I can pay it up if I want and the cost would be £2190

I finally bit the bullet and purchased this watch. I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I have a Victorinox Infantry with the 7750 movment, and have been very pleased with it. Great power reserve and reliability. I'm hoping that I will have similar results with the Longines.

30 meters water resistance means washing your hands with the watch on is risky.
@HouseofBrady7 жыл бұрын
its a chrono - even the speedmaster is like that, air on the the side of caution i suppose
@williamtracy44536 жыл бұрын
Where are you washing your hands? 30 meters is 90 feet. You should be ok swimming in the pool though I would not.
@williamtracy44536 жыл бұрын
Dear Read. Ok whatever. I have a very SIM watch in 18k solid gold rated at 30m. I shower, wash my hands and swim in the pool. I would take it snorkeling in choppy water. But no, I would not take it scuba diving but I have a watch for that. You must have a lot of water pressure in yo pipes, yo.
