I got into New York Film Academy in August 2022 and for 2 semesters aced every class, film shoot, project, edit, and got the straight A's, at 34, I finally feel like I deserved having being academically dismissed my first time in college. I worked 15 years to become the man who gained so much insight as to what my purpose is in life: to be a filmmaker. However at the start of the 3rd semester, my health took a sharp, sudden, drastic decline. Everything, everywhere, all at once. Yeah it was a great movie, but it also describes the symptoms that popped up one by one. Details aside, with 2 weeks left of a 15 week semester, I had to voluntarily withdraw, giving me up to two years to get my health, my habits and my life back in order because right now I'm not that man anymore. I'm a struggling 19 year old all over again with an 88 year old's body. I slowly watched 15 years of progress slip out of my hands in 3 months. For some time (and I mean like last 2 weeks or so) I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to get up and ready for a 9am class again, let alone sit at a desk and edit, or stand on set and act or cam op or boom op.... Hope was disappearing. But you. Your video. You inspire me to shut those fucking thoughts down. You remind me of my career goal: To give an Oscar acceptance speech. Your talent, skill, knowledge, capabilities and precision, not to mention patience that came with making this ride and the 5 before it (and that's only the MCU ones!) has become a fuel, an ignition. Go to the doctor. Go to another and a third. Get neck surgery if you have to at 34. Fix your gut. Swap your sleep schedule again. Get a routine together. Practice. Practice. Practice. Learn something new and re-learn something old. And never stop creating. This is for you, my friend. You've given me more than entertainment, you've given me hope. I just came across this for the first time, then I went back and watched all your other MCU Action videos. Amazing. Really enjoyed how you transitioned between each scene and how each flowed into the next. After covering all the current MCU, I would love to see your take on the legacy MCU shows. Shield, Carter, the Netflix shows, Runaways and Cloak & Dagger had some shots that could be compiled into such a video. Alternately, a Spider-verse centric one focusing on all the different Spider-Men over the years. Or X-Men. Or whatever. Just do more stuff, I'm sure it will be awesome.
