Intimidator 305 is a good example of how high intensity coasters can be a gamble for investments. Of course, as mentioned in the video, it isnt as bad as the wild wind, but it was found by some to be too forceful to enjoy. While it is still acclaimed by many enthusiasts, it doesnt seem as popular as the park had hoped. I like how Eltororyan explains how it would have done much better at a larger park, Kings Dominion doesnt have as big a coaster lineup and may not have been ready for such an intimidating ride.

Thank you so much! I must have seen this built at Playland when I was 6 years old, and at the time even I thought that it looked impossibly small to have an inversion. I legitimately believed that I made it up in my mind because I only remembered seeing it once and the next visit it was completely gone and I wasn't ever able to find a record of it existing as an adult, so thanks for letting me know that I'm not going crazy! Rode the one in Athens just before it was sold to another park. It was my 930th coaster and I was pretty stoked about not only adding a new coaster, but a new coaster model to my checklist. Rode in the front seat and was the only one of the train. Lift, turn, drop, nice. Then the inversion. The shoulder bars whacked me in the side of the head so hard, I saw stars. I had to catch my glasses, which had almost been knocked from my face. The rest of the ride might as well have been called "Mike Tyson: the ride" - on pulling back into the station, the ride ops said, "no one in line, you can go again" and I said, "OMG, WHY???" - It surpassed Goudurix as my least fave steel coaster of all time.

I'm pretty curious as to how the Eurofighter came to be. It looks as if it were originally designed with the goal of making a real life ride in the style of something from a cartoon, with its zany steep lifthills, small cars, inversion capabilities, and partial H-bar track. It then found a niche as a small compact high Thrill ride without a very high price at the expense of a low capacity, and a decade or so later came the Infinity, which seems like a higher capacity sister of the eurofighter

When I rode the Chance Toboggan, while not nearly as intense as this coaster, as much as I enjoyed it, the first time I rode I wasnt ready for the transition out of the helix and it made a pain in the neck for the rest of the day. Even though it was nothing serious, it is true that even small pains can turn a rider away, and decrease popularity of a ride, so it was smart of them to not keep the coaster. I could say the same about Zippin Pippin's ejector hill, which takes away a little from the front row ride. I've also grown a dislike to B&M pretzel loops

I saw parts of this warehoused in Hampton, Virginia back in late 2000 or 2001. I know it was before the events of 9/11. The story is I was having some brazing work done on a cast aluminum part for a turbocharger at this business where I saw it. They also dealt with coaster parts evidently. I just needed someone who could tackle a very custom project as what I wanted to be done to this part was not normal. I saw some green rail sections when I picked the part up in the facility and I ask the guy if they were for Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and he told me "No, it's a roller coaster from Motorworld in VA Beach". I said to myself heh and moved on with my life. I remember the giant gorilla Motorworld bought and put at the entrance but never a coaster of any kind. Guess this is why I never saw it. I was 20-21 years old at that time. Hope this helps. Edit: Oh, I don't remember the name of the business but it was in Copeland Industrial Park. Its been 20 years and I no longer live there.

I‘ve seen this coaster on Thursday at Freizeitland Geiselwind. I did not ride it, because the line was way to long. But what annoyed me most about this coaster was the level of noise.

@@ilikecheesegirlXP Well the defunct Son of Beast at Kings Island injured many guests and killed a few. Now Banshee haunts around its area, the tombstone for Son of Beast is even in the queue line. Anyway, I did hear that the old Rattler injured many people.
