I'm from india. I got a classic 500 desert strom on 2012. I was very happy with the bike. It was my first royal enfield and later i found the paint was pealing like stickers from the body. So i sold the bike and got an Tan & Red classic 500 on 2013. Later the couple of months the color was discounted. In 2020 i purchased a interceptor 650 it was awesome i still own it. But i didn't feel it better than my classic 500 even though its a twin cylinder and much power. I got to drive my friends 2021 meteor & classic 350. The only thing i is feel anything which is more refined losses its kick. I'm happy that i own a classic 500.

Royal Enfield is an emotion in India..there are a lot of movies about RE that helped Royal Enfield skyrocket its sale in india... i own a classic 350 reborn (definitely inspired by a road movie)...Here in india there are people who still own old cast iron engine bullet, with gear shifter on the right side...ROYAL ENFIELD ALONE OWNS INDIAN ROADS..

The last of the Royal Enfields were NOT then last of their kind, they were the short lived first of their kind. I have a 2013 Royal Enfield B5 Bullet, which more closely resembles the older "REAL" Bullets that Royal Enfield made before they were destroyed by EFI. I bought that bike new, and the EFI was in the dumpster in less than a week. Replaced by an Amal Concentric MK1 carburetor using a conversion kit from Hitchcocks. The huge, heavy oem cat con exhaust went into the dumpster as well, after I spent about 15 minutes smashing it with a sledgehammer, replaced by a much smaller, lighter one with no cat con in it, also from Hitchcocks. I do like the UCE engine, it seems to be quite a bit more reliable than the old pre unit iron barrel, though I also want one of those. I refuse to ride a computer on wheels. IMO, you simply cannot compare a real, carbureted bike with a virtual, computer controlled bike. They are not the same, not even close, no matter what they may look like. You can disguise almost anything, but a computer is a computer, and it does not belong on a motorcycle. What's next, a battery powered bike that plays a real motorcycle exhaust sound through speakers in your helmet? I started riding at age 8, on a Bultaco Lobito 100, and got my first street bike, a 1971 Suzuki GT380, at age 16 in 1975. I have owned over 50 bikes, and every single one of them has been carbureted, with non computer controlled brakes. I now have just over 22K miles on the carbureted non ABS non cat con Bullet, and have loved every minute of it. I love the sound, I love the feel, and I especially love the fact that I am in control of it, NOT a computer. Computers belong on desks, not on motor vehicles.

People have gone around the world 🌎 on bikes smaller than the RE 350. Ducati sent 2 guys around the world on Ducati 175' s. When they got home they closed the factory. All the employees rode Ducati so they rode their bikes down to the docks to welcome them home. 2 guys on big BMW adventure bikes in Alaska and thought they were hot stuff until they ran into a old man who rode to Alaska from Florida. He was camped out behind a hardware store waiting for new tires for his Vespa scooter 🛵. You could imagine their egos deflating.
