$75 for anything hydrostatic working is amazing. That's even a "5 discount" (80 - 75 = 5)!

That mower in present condition will still outlast these "consumer mowers" sold today.

Man love older mowers. Got a simplicity 5216H and she chooches right along. I wish it had the on dashboard hydro selection. I'm not a big fan of foot control hydro's. But i think everything should have a White or Magnum style right handed control system, i guess most tractors nowadays are like that anyway. Why can't my vehicle throttle be at my finger tips and just stay were i set it 😄. Good find Jacob.

Jacob is this a MTD manufactured cub? When IH manufactured the cub cadet the first version that was badged “original “ had a short belt from engine to drive shaft. The next models on up direct drive with a dry clutch. The Cub Cadet 60 with the fiberglass tub was the first vertical mounted engine/belt drive I think. Great video Jacob, and thank you.

I'd like to think this was before the MTD consumer take over. Serial tag is all IH.

I don't think $75 is going to bankrupt you! That thing will never wear out. You'll just get sick of it. Get something bigger. Don't make em like they use too!!!

You ever thought about instead of spending money all these "deals" to instead save that money up and roll it into some new equipment that requires less repairs? Or when you do come out ahead on some of these projects to roll that up into some newer equipment? instead of buying another project? I think you'd find with far fewer equipment projects you'd be able to spend more time farming.

I think that's what their doing with the tw and the 2+2. He just likes his toys.

$75 isn't much for parts on any project. Plus projects are for winter. Not planting corn in February. The important machines are projects. Plows, discs and planter are usually problem free. Hay stuff typically holds together fine. But I'd rather turn wrenches on an old tractor than be a computer engineer for a new one.

So, the idea of sharpening the blades while you had the mower deck off, never crossed your mind, huh?🙃
