It is so refreshing to see South Africa in the eyes and perspective of tourists. I live and work in Johannesburg. I occasionally go to Mpumalanga and my favourite place is Sabie town. The waterfalls there and being hit by its water is super amazing. We do lots of glamping there and South African accommodation now have all the amenities for working class. Wi-fi and work friendly lodges. The food in SA is just on another level. So in Zulu , Mazibuye emasisweni. World come back to human origin which is South African soil. You will never be Miserable ever again. Love you guys

Nicole and Blaire I just want to thank you sooo much for sharing along life's nature and happiness that this world can experience despite all the controversy on politics all over the world. It just makes me so happy and many others to know there is a world God has created and blessed us with. Obviously you know what life is better to consciously take a meaning 🙏🙏❣❣

Nicole, I am so very thrilled by where you started, both personally and videography wise, to where you are now. Just amazing the quality of improvement you have made to your life. I absolutely loved this video and you and Blair together make an amazing team of knowledge and just joyful to watch. This is by far one of my favorite videos on YT of all time. You should think about teaming with Blair to do a continuous series of videos of this park for YT. We all could learn a lot about conservation, wildlife and flora/fauna. I also think you both doing so could become fabulous ambassadors for the park.

Hi Nicole! I’m catching up on all of your vlogs because I just haven’t had time to watch anything at all this past year. We are missing the family in SA and Nam so badly these days and desperately want to make our way over there again soon. So thankful that SA and Nam are apparently open to international travel again. Your vlogs are filling up my SA love bucket right now!!! This one takes me back to our time in Etosha last year! So special.

Hi Felicia :) It must be tough not being able to know when you can next come out here, even with borders being open to several countries it is all a bit of a gamble as I see more countries being put on the 'Red List' for travel everyday. Hopefully 2021 brings more certainty with regards to travel and you'll be able to visit here again soon. Hope you and your family are well. x

So to be completely honest, I'm not the biggest advocate of shark-cage diving, but check out Marine Dynamics, they take more of a sustainable & eco-conscious approach & have a marine biologist on board with you. Takes me back to Kruger when we were there a year ago, love the video! 💙 What kind of safari do you prefer in Kruger, self drive or guided, and why?
@NicoleEddy15 жыл бұрын
What a place hey! Whereabouts did you stay? For myself, nothing beats a self-drive & being in control for how long you stay at a sighing for, stopping off at the picnic spots & making some lunch etc. Because we're not staying at a lodge, it's a lot cheaper for us to self-drive & then for Blair & myself, we tend to stop at everything such as birds and trees (which lots of people paying for a safari vehicle, aren't too keen on), or we'll find a watering hole, turn the car off & just sit there for a while, so being in control of our own time is one of our favourite draw-cards :)

I had my "Newman's Bird" field guide open while watching your video and trying to identify as many birds as possible. Quite different to birding in real life, but still loads of fun! I saw you had a different field guide - any tips on which one you prefer for identifying? Anyhow, as always I loved your video! And even though it makes me miss Africa even more, I indulge in 'em :)
@NicoleEddy14 жыл бұрын
Hey Ruwen :) I love that you were trying to ID birds on our drive - how many did you manage to get? I've always used Sasol, but according to Blair & his family, you can't beat the Roberts Bird Guide (the app on the phone is also amazing for creating lists, ID'ing calls etc.)

Hey Nicole, thx for the insights into your trip to Kruger. Quick question. Can you recommend to visit Cape Town and Addo Park in late Aug/ early September? Not sure if its worth it vs summer....
@NicoleEddy15 жыл бұрын
Hey :) Definitely - it’s Spring time & often both ‘Autumn’ (April/May) and Spring months are the nicest. The days will be warm but the evenings & early mornings will still be coolish. Cape Town is a gamble no matter what time of year you come, but typically September is a great month as all the flowers will be blooming :)

Fun exploration. But that poor lion. I don't think he like a bright light shining on him.
@NicoleEddy15 жыл бұрын
That lion wasn’t too fussed by the light - they’re pretty hardy creatures, and we made to sure to shine the bulk of it on his body as opposed to his eyes before he disappeared into the night :) As long as one isn’t shining the spot directly into their eyes for extended periods, nocturnal predators should be fine, however if shining the spotlight into an antelope & other diurnal species eyes’ for a longish time at night, this temporarily blinds them & hinders their ability to escape predators at night should they need to during that period of temporary blindness. Pretty interesting stuff :)
