I am 78 and the homes you show sure bring back many great memories... Our adult kids today just don't have respect for all these beautiful things that was a huge part of their lives also... It breaks my heart that the families of these abandoned homes with life time memories... Thank you so much for letting the world see these beautiful peoples homes, so much love will forever reside in these homes and sad that the families don't cherish their family life time memories.... God bless you all.

Agree. Some of those items were once special to the homeowner and some family members should want to keep them for memories. It’s so disrespectful to trash someone’s home like that as well.
@cxqcxq51762 жыл бұрын
i so enjoyed all that old wallpaper. bathroom was the best. the shower curtain and a lot of things in the home are older than 1980s. i think they raised kids or grandkids there in the 1980s, and then house became frozen in time when the kids grew up and moved out? and though a lot of stuff, it was probably stored neater before it was ransacked.

I felt the same as you said at the beginning. This home had family and love in it for many years. It’s always a little sad when you see the hoarding creeping in but I’ve certainly seen a lot worse. Your respect and courtesy always add to the experience. Loved the butterfly and that Victorian looking wallpaper. You can see 60s through 80s then time seems to stop. Except for the ketchup and calendars and I’m sure the bills. Thanks for the tour. ❤️

At 4:12, in the middle of the screen, that's an old vacuum. At 7:20, that's cell phone📱 is maybe late 90's early 00's. At 10:48, a Kirby, those vacuums are tanks they'll last forever. At 15:26 there is still power on (alarm clock). Great video. 😁I love these types of houses where there is a lot to see.

I seen the one bedroom had power the alarm clock was flashing. I think it's so wild that power can still be on. Where I live be a month behind and the power will be cutoff! Lol
@Lucinda_Jackson2 жыл бұрын
Perhaps they had autopay set up on their bills. My mother did and she had an investment account that would automatically transfer an amount each month that kept her checking account with a balance of $40,000. If her estate went unsettled, her utilities and all her bills would have all been paid each month forever. Except property taxes… Those would have been the only reason it wouldn’t go on forever. You never know. 🤷🏼♀️

These people kept a lot of memories. Objects that we receive as presents from our families and friends become memories. We hate to throw them away. I am 75 and I have come to realize the things that we hold dear to our hearts mean nothing to others for they will collect their own memories. But you think that there would be people somewhere that could use these things left behind. When it comes right down to it all the things we have are just stuff and will go to dust just like us

There is an awful lot of stuff in that house but I wouldn't be to quick to blame all of the mess on the residents. There are boxes in the living room that make it look like someone was going to pack. Also, the kitchen, the microwave is very clean and even the stove looks well cared for and cupboards are very neatly arranged with clean dishes. In the hoards that I've seen that was not the case. Someone has been in there and tossed everything about, emptying drawers and closets.

I agree with Carol. This is NOT a hoarders house. It's history is simple to see. It looks like an old farm couple lived here (the canning jars in the basement, the storage freezers for their butchered animals). The granny kept all her grown kids childhood stuff for them, their bedrooms in tact should they ever want or need to move back home. Then they passed away and some relative or grown children started to pack things up with the intent to go back and finish but never did. Sad.

Beautiful wallpapers! Decades of precious memories that ransackers had to make a mess out of. Some animal or animals obviously did get in, as some things in kitchen were very clean, which says the resident was caring about things. The lack of respect is with the ransackers. The collectibles just reminded the resident of happier days, precious memories.

Hey Noah. I think even though they were hoarders to a certain extent that it was all organized better until people starting coming in and pulling everything out of drawers and closets,etc. Probably an elderly couple with a lot of grandkids that they gifted with a lot of the knick knacks as well as them buying a lot of stuff for the grandkids that might have stayed with them a good bit. Thats my guess from what I can see. Like you said it's too much to take in, in the condition that it is now. TFS 💚

I agree, at one time that place was taken care of pretty well in spite of the collections of stuff. Most of that mess looked like someone coming in and dumping stuff on the floor while looking for things. Elderly people with possible mobility issues wouldnt leave all that crap on the floor to trip over. I think that who ever lived here got old, sick and, died. Family came in looking for cash and valuables and just walked away when they didn't find any treasures. All the jewelry boxes have been left open and gone through. Sad, just sad, Noah. Check on on your older neighbors folks, you maybe the only one who does. Thanks, Noah

I'm wondering what happened to the people who lived in the abandoned places. Can a person check in records of some kind to find out what happened? I'm new at looking at these videos. Been watching some that have been abandoned in 1800 or so. I would think if a person left a house the bank would get that property back for non payment. Do you know what I mean ? Anyway thank you for recording this property.

I would have to say that the house has been tossed. There’s lots of stuff but you can still see that there was some organization to it. They didn’t live there with all the drawers pulled out and tossed around. It even looks like someone was packing things up at one time. The animals, I’m guessing a raccoon, also dug through a lot of stuff too. So sad.

Power Still On, always interesting to see. Personally, I've only ever seen one other video of this house, It was an older lady exploring it, I could be wrong but I think she knew the owner and it was an elderly lady. The car parked behind the house, if it has tags, that's an easy way to find out roughly how long it's potentially been abandoned. The unfortunate thing with hoarding, Food isn't the easiest way to date some of these houses. Just because there's fuses, that doesn't mean knob and tube wiring,. immediately to see. Stuff left behind from two stores that no longer exist, Zellers and Sears.

Noah, I am 71 years young and live alone with my dog. Last year I fell and broke my back. They "super glued" it back together and spent me to rehab. I'm able to walk but not too far or too much. My bedroom is my haven and my daughters think it's a disaster. I keep the living room and kitchen picked up and organized. I do not have cable TV but I do have internet. I sleep a lot and watch movies in my dvr. I only have a microwave to cook with so I eat TV dinners and hot pockets. If I vacuum I hurt really bad. I have 2 additional bedrooms where the hoarder in me lives...piled high. The people who lived in this house were like me...alone, half sick, and just waiting for the Lord to call me 🏡.

Hi Noah, I think if you took all that stuff out of the house, cleaned it up you would have a pretty nice home. Must have been a nice before the hoarding started. It’s too bad what happened here. If they were old folks living here and one of them died the other one might not want to live there. And that basement was soo soo creepy. All that food down there was just disguisting. I was grossed out looking at it and I wasn’t even there. I am wondering why you didn’t show us the car outside or even mention it. I know it’s gross for you but I would have liked to see what was in that refrigerator and in that freezer chest. You are exploring show us everything. You could wear a mask if it stinks. It was sad looking in this house. Things were all thrown around maybe by vandals looking for money or valuables. It’s just sad that no one kept this house up. They probably didn’t want to go thru all the stuff there and I don’t blame them. Very interesting to see how some folks live. Thank you for being respectful going thru this house and not judging the folks that lived here. Thank you for bringing us along. Stay safe!

They weren't hoarders. They owned a lot of things...but definitely not hoarders. All the things that are thrown about are from people ransacking the place. Hoarders "value their belongings". You can tell these people lived near and orderly because of the way the bathroom and hallways are.
