Isn't a drag in life how a negative person can take up so much of our energy as we try to process the unresolved stress, frustration and conflict. And yet, a positive experience, especially with another person, lifts us, is a lovely reflection and yet we don't dwell on it. We'd hope that a positive interaction with someone might give us double the energy that a negative person takes away. There is the hope anyway. Thank you so much for your lovely videos! Carry on!

You should really have reported him to the CRT, he obviously bullies everyone to get to the front and do what he likes! HE was absolutely totally in the wrong and must be reported before he actually harms someone. Glad you confirmed the water point rules, etc but his bullying is something people are letting him get away with and until he’s reported, he will continue to get away with it. You did well Kris and Andrew to keep your calm. The “Mick” you mentioned about never missing a water point if you can, was my late Husband. Thank you for those nice words. xx

I am so glad someone noticed! It’s in my top ten bits of footage I’ve captured since we’ve been on the boat. I argued the vlog should open with it, completely uncut. But then again, I’ve heard some argue that Blade Runner 2049 should be four hours long-so shout out to Kristina and her editing skills for making the vlogs actually watchable. Serious question though: could it have worked?

The idyllic first few seconds with the sheep walking along the canal was beautiful, then came the intro. I am so sorry that you and Andrew had this happen to you. Hopefully you will never see the man and his boat again. It was hard to see you both so upset, but it was important for you to share and you shared it honestly and with respect as you certainly could have named the boat, yet you didn’t. Much respect to the two of you. You took the time to explain why it was important not to just edit out your reactions, and it made total sense. I hope that you had a huge IKEA day and shopped your hearts out at the humongous Tesco. Thanks for sharing. I realize this didn’t happen recently, but you two deserve some ❤❤ 😊🤗 Kathy

I hate how people like shouty man get under your skin and cause stress and upset. It’s a form of abuse and I have found when it happens it can take quite sometime to calm down from such an experience. Living on the cut 99% of the time is a calming experience, I wish people like him didn’t exist. You dealt with it very well. You did nothing wrong always remember that. Great vlog. Take care xx

The closest I could come to that odd situation is I had to go an collect a child from school one time, he had broken his arm... at the same time my wife had been called by the hospital to get in ASAP as she had some results that gave them concern... I parked at the school and then someone came and double parked in my way... I honked my horn, nothing... I honked again and they got out and complained that I was honking my horn (despite them being illegally double parked). It all worked out ok because the child went off to one hospital (taken by ambulance) I was then able to take my wife to the hospital that called her and I was able to bounce between situations as the afternoon/evening progressed... but yes that was a stressful situation. Glad you were both ok and unharmed.

Well this is very real. As others have said, he's just a playground bully, no doubt had a very different upbringing to the crew on the LE. We're so used to our own realities and bubbles, seemingly more so these days, aren't we all? Your logic, his aggression. Both are strategies but as they say, the pen is mightier than the sword. Personally you guys did what I'd do, namely go to the pub, ask questions, drop him to where he deserves to be in your minds. Perception is everything. Take care and keep doing you.

In my 70+ years in this reality, I've encountered a few shouty people and one day I discovered a good retort by saying with a BIG smile - 'I know one thing...Jesus loves you too.' I've found that retort is the very LAST thing shouty people expect. My 'snark' in dealing with other's shouty snarkiness. GOOD thing y'all discovered the source of that leak - boats and leaks are scarily antithetical. Regardless content, I so enjoy your vlogs, Kris - I much appreciate your excellent efforts! I had a recent encounter similar to yours at a car hire pickup and she lost it due to them being busy and she had to wait the customer service person firmly told her that her behaviour wouldn’t be tolerated and she calmed down. Eventually the woman shared that her husband had just died and she was on her way to the town where it happened. It certainly explained her behaviour but didn’t excuse it and the altercation didn’t hasten her departure in anyway

Can I just say how stunning you looked in the shots with your hood up while you were steering? 😍 Sorry about the shouty man. Sounds like he has some issues that he is projecting on to others. Obviously you are both courteous people and practice being respectful of other boaters and people in general. You should refer him to the videos where you rescue and return the shopping trolley and rescue and return the camera so he can have a lesson in being a stable human. 🥰 Very nice that you could move away from him and settle down a bit. My best friend and I get together at least once a month for breaky and then a wander through Ikea before the crowds show up, it’s actually quite peaceful. I can never manage to leave without buying a pack of their candles. ❤ Looking forward to the next episode. The Tree remembers what the axe forgets. While there is no excuse for the behaviour you described sometimes there are reasons why it happens sometimes understandable ( not excusable) We do have to try and remember we have all been that shouty man once or twice in out lives and we remember it in a way of being civil and reasonable but we weren't really. The situation was defused and the advantage of being able to move on downtime canal. The real skill is being able to move on emotionally . Its probably a bit late now, but if you feel threatened call the police. There is definitely criminal behaviour here. Implied threats of harm are still threats. Even if nothing gets done the incident will be logged and if it happens to someone else it will be on record. Sadly there are tw@ts everywhere but thankfully they are few and far between.

I’m Sorry for your experience with Shouty Man but these days it does seem to be more common, I don’t live on a narrow boat but it seems like drivers and even people who are just walking around just seem to be a bit more aggressive 🤷♂️. I’m one of those lucky people who can just let it go over my head and I tend to have a bit of a laugh over the other person getting a bit agro ( it’s normally over something small and silly like they have to wait in traffic or a cyclist holding them up and they just get aggressive over nothing really ). People in general are Stressed lately and always seem to be rushing around and Woah to anyone who gets in their way or hinders them for a few seconds. Lots of Chill Pills are needed methinks lol 😂. Maybe he is from Aylesbury Kris ? I have mentioned to you and Andrew before about it being a bit Rough and Maybe he was a Local Nutter from there ? Needed his Mid Morning Fix ?. Like you both said, he could just be Stressed over his Wife being in Hospital or with her being Released from Hospital but there is really no excuse for being Rude and Horrible……my thoughts are that he is just a Knobhead hehehe 😝. I know that Tesco you went to and it is quite Large, try the Asda Store near IKEA because that’s Huge !!. I prefer getting our Meat from Asda and always go for the Irish Beef as it tends to be a lot better quality and makes a lovely Roast ,the pork and lamb is very good quality too. Good value on Large Chickens as well 👍. For the inspection hatch on your Water Tank and the Leak,if you are looking at repairs yourself then I would thoroughly recommend using Sikoflex sealant…..it’s pretty amazing stuff and I use it these days for quite a few different things,it’s great for sealing up showers and baths and anywhere you have water ( it’s instantly waterproof ) and it works better than Glue ( lots of Boating people use it ). Looking forward to seeing your next video ! Bit of excitement with that one ! Was there any nice Firemen Kris Lol 😂 😉. Hopefully you don’t experience any more Shouty people but if you do don’t let them bother you and try not to feel scared….they are just silly little people who can’t express themselves in any other way so they Shout !!. Always look on the bright side and keep Smiling 😊. Especially you Kris cos you have a rather awesome beautiful Smile which lights up your Eyes and Face ❤

The last time I went to MK Ikea I saw that car all burnt out in the car park. I hate that feeling you get after an altercation with someone. I like to think that the need to talk it over and running through it over and over in your head is just a sign that you are a good person and that you give a 💩. He, on the other hand….Definitely not a good person!

I think if a man can find a way to be miserable and angry on a boat in the middle of the beautiful countryside, then he'd probably find a way to be miserable and angry anywhere. I'm sorry you had to experience it. I hope you forgot about it in the time between then and editing this video, and now that it's done and out I hope you'll quickly forget it again. I will say, however, that just after The Incident you missed an excellent opportunity to yell at your weather app, "You LIED to me!"

Wasn’t the agressive chap people come across think on a blue coloured tug ? Don’t let him get to u. He’s not worth it. Lovely cruise by the way. Best wishes.

Huh? You can only be at a water point for how fast it comes out. You should have shown a clip of the guy, just so others could steer clear of the clown.

There are "a___holes" in life no matter where you are. I hate people who act like that. Bullies and intimidators. Karma. His day will come. Mine did. In the meantime - keep up with your beautiful life and beautiful videos.
