It takes someone who really understands something well to teach someone how to do it well and make it easy to understand you have that gift few KZbin teachers have and you are fun as well I've learnt so much from you and I know I have a lot more I can learn thank you.

Love your lessons and tips Sean ! Btw I have a Martin '71 D18 too and when my late wife and I had our music store we sold a lot of Elixir strings (an easy sell) 🎵👍
@guitarTennisCarHomeFixFlying Жыл бұрын
I too prefer elixir nanoweb Web! I think newby or new player because it's not quite as hard on my calluses, it's a brighter sound than the elixer polywebb as that polyweb makes the fretting harder where with the nano Web is more effortless when you get your calluses built up a bit
@guitarTennisCarHomeFixFlying Жыл бұрын
For polyweb I thank many coats of protectant on the strings which makes it harder to fret the strings, polyweb is a deeper warmer sound but make my calluses a ache a bit
@jeffgarrison7056 Жыл бұрын
I use the root and the 3rd on the 6th and the 3rd strings and occasionally 7th or octave on the 4th string, then use the open strings, in quite a few of the songs that I have written... they're almost all beautiful chords.

Yeah on the Elixers! I've been changing all my guitars over to them for the last couple years, and suddenly I'm buying less strings. They really last (I'm in a dry climate) a long time. Plus, they sound terrific, electric and acoustic. I use the nanowebs.

What string us your pinky finger on? It would be nice to go it up front. Unless I might be the only one tha wasn't sure or maybe you only tell thar on pat me on. Great comments from your fan. Which I am one by the way. My wife and I grew up in West Los Angeles now we live in Arizona. The house that we got for less than 200 would be over a mil in LA

Are you muting the a string? When doing this or is it open?
@tonybott5644 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Except for the ii7 chord, I tried gently muting the A string with my middle finger. You barely hear the A string when he strums the higher chords. Nice simple lesson with simple shapes.
@dosty3 Жыл бұрын
Wait are you muting the A string? because if you leave it open it sounds terrible.
