Great video and the Mercedes W123 looks great. My dad had one car for 25 years and it was the Mercedes W123 -250 from Germany. It was the most reliable Mercedes model ever produced.

Thank you so much for finally doing this video. I love these cars but I am not mechanically inclined, therefore I really rely on a few of the remaining old timers who are still willing to work on them.

Thanks for a lovely sharing! I’ve recently acquired a 1981 W123 200 manual. Runs smoothly. Totally zero electronics! 😊👌

Looks great! Especially the wheel covers in the body color. I am in holding pattern on what to do with my 123 Wagon.

Love it. Especially the black interior! Also glad you didn’t have your Modern Talking CD on hand! 😂 I can’t understand why nearly all 80’s Merc videos play Modern Talking (even though their songs sounded all nearly the same) the videos almost always play Cheri Cheri Lady. Why?!…

Why indeed 😂

It’s weird seeing a LHD car with the RHD passenger door pull on the driver door and the headlight level and defroster switch in the RHD positions.

I've now bought R125 000 worth of parts for my w123 230CE . Next year, I'll redo it completely Guess when I'm done, it will be about K200. And that's not with labor, I'm a Mercedes-Benz mechanic, and labor isn't calculated. But it should be one of the best right hand drives in the world.

Very much enjoy all your W123 videos and looking to one day acquire one. Right now, have 2001 W210. With the age, would you recommend replacing all rubber hoses i.e., radiator, brake, fuel hoses etc?

Nice work but living with an old 200D and its (lack of) performance must be a challenge 😂😂

What is expected costs to spray a W123 in a different colour?

Depends on where you are located

3.500 USD in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have just bought a 1982 240 D, and I want to repaint it. Although in the same colour.

These are really awesome cars , but there is a immense pain in getting parts for this shit boxes which makes all the fun go away , Rather buying a decent latest model can saves headache and we enjoy the car freely.
@oldmercguy18 күн бұрын
That’s not at all accurate. I literally own a business that supplies parts for them. New cars are absolute rubbish.
