Found this show a few days ago and can't stop watching. Learned a lot of new things. Sadly it's way underrated.

I remember this demonstration so vividly from my childhood, great to see it again! I wonder how much success you'd have these days trying to find a metal film canister 😂

Berocca tablets used to come in a metal tube, it has a plastic cap though but if you keep the flame away from that end you might be able to do it. Not sure if the tubes are still metal though, perhaps next time your shopping have a peek.

Actually found a bunch of alternatives in a Google search. Just check "tin screw tops" but also check out "pop pop boats"

Thanks, Rob! This is far easier for a child to make than a pop-pop boat. I'll be sure to share this one too!

Excellent, thanks. Getting a metal tube can be harder these days but things like Berocca tubes may be the answer - Rob

Dear CuriosityShow do you have a video about self-sliding cups on a wet surface? Like in the last video on my channel. Please answer.

You would never get past safety police to show this on TV now! ;) imagine if they forgot to make the hole in the end 😂

Oh no! Recommending that children play with sharp tools and FIRE?! And you mention the "C word" tube so many b times! But we all know that children are little idiots that have to be protected from everything because they're too stupid to do anything on their own! I miss television programs like this where children are treated as thinking intelligent creatures rather than little morons that have to have programs where people screaming in the microphones and bright colors flashing across the screen to be considered educational. There's a lot to learn out in the world, and Rob and Deane are the sort of fellows that know how to teach it. Thank you, men. You deserve every compliment you get!

I have been interested in steam powered toy boats since discovering them in an anime called Ponyo. They got shrunk and he used his pop pop boat to cross the flooded street. This video actually taught me two things: 1. You can use multiple boilers, and 2. Bradawls are a thing and I should get me a set to avoid using my power drill

You know about weird ass anime but had no idea that hand drills existed? Wow.

@@rancidcrawfish yup. All I know about woodworking is self-taught. Do not expect that what might be common knowledge to you would be common to everyone else. I only started learning about different hand tools 3 years ago. Also, Ponyo is an adaptation of the original Little Mermaid, so actually not weird at all.

Measure twice, cut once. Nope, don't measure at all, wing it, cut twice, then put a positive spin on it when it's a little too wide. You sir are always the optimist, love it!
