Dear 2020, It was no one's fault, yet we were all completely guilty. Too blinded by political unrest to see the grave future right in front of us. Too blinded from the hatred that grew in our hearts that separated humanity just because of the color of our skin... the way we talk... the lessons we've learned... the place we grew up. We were practically aliens to each other... perhaps this was the reason for our downfall. It started one night, hundreds of people in the outcasts of Africa were dropping dead within minutes. Nobody elsewhere cared, it wasn't their family, and surely it wasn't themselves. The next day, millions were dying worldwide from this terrible new virus. Nobody was spared from the monstrosities of loss and blood. Everyone who caught it, died terrible deaths... a 100% mortality rate. Those who survived? They fought for themselves, stealing and killing anything in their path. Children were separated from their parents, left to grow up alone in a world completely destroyed by their predecessors. They killed, murdered, and plundered to survive, no mercy was given. Nobody thought it could get worse than that... but then, it happened. The undead rose from their graves. Anyone who had caught this virus and died from it was soon consumed and controlled. Many more people died that week, but the ones who survived? We finally came together, put our differences aside, and fought alongside each other to preserve humanity. But it was already too late for that. I watched as my comrades died, each and everyone of them taken by death's hand. Later, I screamed out to the streets only to find them empty... I was truly alone... the last living survivor. Anyone who reads this, be warned. We mustn't fight each other... instead, we must stand by each other till the end, or else, our hypocrisy might determine our end. Perhaps your parallel universe will survive... but it is too late for us. Signing off for one final time, The Last Human Written on March 18, 2904 - 679 days into the outbreak

This is absolutely FANTASITC. It 's like you are surviving an apocalyptic pandemic, scavenging the ruins of a once great city, feeling the hopelessness set in as the days pass and your supplies dwindle. Alone, craving human contact and company, yet terrified of the dangers posed by others in this now no longer new, brutal and selfish world. The gray skies above you darkening as it begins to rain and you make your way back to your hideout, your shelter, cold and weary. Despair setting in, knowing that your situation is not likely to change anytime soon. (Set to "Dawn was breaking")

I'm typing this as i listen to: 16:22 . It truly IS one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. It portrays in my head; the beauty of the madness of the end and that what is going to happen next is no doubt irreversible. It cannot be undone but it may be for the better. Leaving behind everything I had built, cared for and loved, all in a heartbeat. Flashbacks of the reminiscent past serenade my mind like bolts of electricity, moments of our once fulfilled life. Beneath the countless setting suns and the morning stars; time spent with you, I remember it all. I'm leaving it all to you in this world. My life here is truly done for. But I'm not giving up. My stubborn soul will live on. My next venture is to the beyond. Not the nearest planet but the next plane of existence. Haven't you realised yet? I was meant for the stars not the soil. Time for a restart. A life worth living again, People worth admiring, Waking up with no regrets nor sorrow, Being loved unconditionally once again, I want to experience it all, In a perpetual state of loop, till the fabric of reality itself pulls its curtains on me. I will to keep on living, I want to keep on loving, I will to keep on fighting for what I want and believe in, just not here anymore.

This hits on another level realizing the human instinct inside that controls our fears, the one that is both harder to restrain and to let out in the modern era, the survival instinct to purge the weaker that dares to tempt us, the feeling to help us tread the path on the game we we refer to as life. This instinct is in everyone, from the day your born, till the last hour of your life, in the end we sadly use it on the ones that have been mistaken, rumored, fround upon, betrayed, forgotten, abandoned, cheated on, exiled, outcasted, or simply tainted by the others in the same uniform, clothes, or social media networks we use. Because of this instinct we forget about the same humanity that the one in front of us has and the same for them looking at us, looking at the men and women in blue. The ones to try and uphold the law for those are doing it not cause they want to but it's because it's their job. They can have the same beliefs as you but are being treated horribly because of one of their fellow brothers or sisters had done their job irresponsibly. We as humans are a species that will travel one of two paths, either the path to forgive, remember, and move on to give the children of the future a chance to be better than the people of today, or to travel the path to pass down the same mentality's that we have as the people of today to taint the minds of future generations to live and teach their kids that other's that doesn't share the same beliefs are the enemy as how people in today's riots bring their kids to witness the horrid actions used to defend themselves and others in the same perdicument both parties are going through. You reading this comment communicating by another comment, what path would you take? Speaking person to person converted to comment to comment if you do chose to leave a comment be weary for those who are weak minded as you could be targeted being deemed an enemy for not having the same beliefs as they have.

Finch: I want to ask a question, Dominic. I don't care if you answer me or not. I just want to say this aloud... The question I want to ask is about St Mary's and Three Waters. The question that's kept me up for the last 24 hours, the question I have to ask, is: What if the worst, the most horrifying, biological attack in this country's history was not the work of religious extremists? Dominic: Well, I don't understand. We know it was. They were caught. They confessed. Finch: And they were executed, I know. And maybe that's really what happened. But I see this chain of events, these coincidences... and I have to ask: What if that isn't what happened? What if someone else unleashed that virus? What if someone else killed all those people? Would you really want to know who it was? Dominic: Sure. Finch: ... Even if it was someone working for this government? That's my question. If our own government was responsible for what happened at St Mary's and Three Waters... if our own government was responsible for the deaths of almost a hundred thousand people... would you really want to know?

*A conversation between me and my son in 20 years* "Dad, why did you name me Atreus?" "He was the character in a video game people played once upon a time. I figured you would remind me of him." "What's a video game?" "Something from before." "Before what?" "..." Annnnnd I don't know what the answer to that question will be. Hopefully never comes to pass. But you never know. If the disease had been slightly more fatal, people would have stopped going to work. Food workers, "essential workers," suppliers and packers, ones who you don't think about enough but are the reason this world can support 8 billion. If supply chains fail, and food stops coming, it wouldn't take very long. Stores ran low on essential supplies with just this much fear over a virus killing very few people proportionately to how many would die if it had been any worse. Not from the virus, but from the end of the global system that crumbles under the pressure of fear. Fear, is the death of reason. Fear, causes everyone to push away all those from out of country, and out of state, but when you're in a state with tens of millions and not enough food but you demand that other people not be allowed into your state to bring you that food they always brought... what then? When those people from out of state might have your food but they also have the virus? What's the bigger risk? And even if it's just a few days, if the government tries forcing too many people to work then they may say 'no' anyway, and their disobedience will be accepted for too long because of freedoms that we would grasp onto even as the world burns around us. It wouldn't be until the world is burning that people would accept the enforcement of rules forcing people to work in knowledge that they might get sick with a virus more deadly than this one. That would be too late though. Word that workers stopped going for even a day, let alone a few, would cause many of those in our society where we are free to buy as much as we want to buy enough to last them until things calm back down. More than just meat and toilet paper, but non-perishables, milk, gas- the hurricane that just hit us created gas lines for generators, but if global trade and statewide trade is slowed or shut down because people don't want to go, people will fear about gas as well. Food will be bought up too fast as everyone uses any money on hand and lots they were saving even if they're afraid enough, buying supplies and equipment and weapons, lots of weapons. Gun stores had lines around the block all across the US as people feared what the virus could bring: government enforcement of rules people don't like, looters coming for your other supplies if everything runs out at stores... It's not the virus that's going to destroy it all. We could not have made it through anything worse than this. I don't think so at least. But at the end of the day, it didn't happen this time. I imagined all these things in January and prepped myself for a long hard life ahead. Instead it's a cushy 21st century life for me, for now. But no century has ever gone without its shares of wars and plagues and chaos. 1/5 of the way through the century and it's already the best one ever. Looking forward to the rest of it, no matter what it may through at us!

The girl is looking up and to the right as if something is happening. You can almost imagine. The buzz and whir of a fleet of planes approaching like a flock of birds. while you sit shell shocked yet amazed as the planes twist and turn in an amazing dogfight the sky a vibrant light blue. The atmosphere bright as it is dark as attack boats cross the river infront of you. You see a soldier his face bright and full of life in a dark time. He sees you and smiles not noticing the enemy approaching his fellow soldiers yelling the explosive cannon mounted on the enemy boat destroys the soldiers boat before smashing into it sending it spiraling in your direction it crashes into a tree next to you blood spurts in your face from the man's body. You look up again to see the last of your country men's planes explode into a ball of fury as the blue sky turns red. Flares land all around you you frantically run to escape death but you know there is nothing you can do. Your world turns orange and red for a mere second before going pitch black. Your last thought being of the man who's blood covered you.
