The prime does not put fuel into the cylinders. Prime puts fuel pressure onto the fuel injectors so that when you crank the injectors, it has positive fuel pressure to inject into the cylinders receiving pulse for fuel injection.

Okay… being a boomer used to dealing with old school analog tuning, I confess that I have absolutely no idea what all you did to electronically solve your idling problem, but I somehow managed to enjoy every minute of it. Go figure. Charlie and Angel cameos are always a win. Thank you as always for the video! 👍👍👍

Elec tuning vs mech tuning is the same thing but all the terms are all different enough to make you feel like a virgin all over again. Just like DSP vs analog audio and RF. You could be the shit with analog but jump to DSP and you're back in grade school even though you're mostly doing the same thing.

I've seen tons of tuning on other channels but it always seems to require some base knowlege. The fact that you're bringing us along through your (aka Rangers) learning process is pretty cool. I've seen tuners/after market ECUs used on dynos mainly. Nice seeing how the base tune is built and then used to bring it up to factory specs. Thanks for all you're doing to bring us great content and yes for the hundredth time...I want this truck! Hehehehe

A car a had came with the chip key for anti theft. It was broken and wouldnt stay on the ring so i glued a piece from a lighter leash product so it would. When i installed a head unit with sub controls the wiring harness could have damaged the ecu for ignition. It wasnt the correct plug i used, it was plug from the temporary pioneer cd player i installed. I had to flip it over and figure out the fade and balance on the mids. I got a deal on it for $20 so i tried it and it worked. The face and screen could change alternate colors.

Definitely appreciated. I had a 94 Ranger with a 4 cylinder 5 speed that developed an intermittent starting problem. I could get it running by priming with a squirt of gas to the intake. Sold it before I figured out the problem but I bet it was similar to your issues. I currently have a 2011 Ranger V6 and a 2013 V6 Mustang that's faster than my old 5.0 HO Cougar. 😎

I love watching each of your videos, and I'd like to see the rest of the tuning for the Ranger. I actually had a 1993 Ranger crew cab, with the little back doors on it. But there was a problem with the fuel relay and to fix it we removed the relay and put a cotter pin in it so it wouldn't blow up the relay anymore. It worked, but about a month later the engine caught on fire and I didn't see it for about 10 minutes because it was running outside of my garage and I was in the garage letting it warm up in the +34°f weather as I was gathering tools to help a friend. So unfortunately my Ranger just burned up, but I was able to reach in and shut off the engine which shut the fuel pump off that was feeding the fire. It was a sad day for sure, melted the left wheel and the tire exploded. Fire crew showed up about 10 minutes after I called them. A sad total loss of a very nice blue/green truck.

great channel... love the Ford Ranger, I have a 2003... its great, but it has its issues... and still runs fine. the Fuel tank foot valve stopped working, so the gas pressure won't hold when its turned off. would cost $700.00 to drain the tank, lift the bed remove the valve and replace. instead three cranks, and it starts fine. great truck. love the VW stuff and the test drives too.
@SarahnTuned
@SarahnTuned Жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s nuts, dropping the tank takes like 30 min. Super easy to pull the bed, then just have a couple friends help move it back and you can access the lines just behind the cab. Undo the straps and lower it down with a floor jack (easier the emptier it is).
