Why are people giving so many warnings? I'm dating a single dad and it's going very well. We treat eachother kindly. His kids are a priority (I have no problem with this). But he makes plenty of time for me otherwise, despite having kids. We go on routine vacations together and out to eat a lot, and/or the bar together. And the time he does spend with his kids is usually time I spend doing my own things that I enjoy (its like giving eachother space). I interact with his kids too. My own choice. He doesn't put any pressure on me nor expect me to parent them. They're very sweet. He has a babysitter and a maid. It's all about balance. I was medically sterilized in my teen years, so I have no kids of my own (childless). Besides, pregnancy doesn't sound too pleasant, haha :P By the way, before dating him, I dated over 10 childfree men throughout the years. It was very toxic. They ended up being selfish and abusive.

TheTruthHurts L everyone’s different. Most of us young ladies aren’t looking for single dads when we first are looking for a man to settle down with. Young women like to start their own families. Dealing with a mans ex wife is stressful at least with a childless man you can start fresh.

But when it comes to his ex girlfriend, he was not married to her and even said the wish for a child came from her and not really from him. Like where was that energy of getting serious and starting a family, when those men were available or when they were with the baby mother. Now that they realize they get older and their "market value" decreased, they are out there looking for a wife/mom to their children, the moment you cross their path. No thanks.

Reading these comments from women...like wow. Fact is, if you love a person than you should hold dear what it is they cherish. Besides, YOU don't NEED them.. But their child DOES. Becoming jealous or possessive over someone's child is not only selfish, but immature....just like the many men that date women with kids... If you love the person you should be willing to have that family unit with them. I'm shocked so many women are reacting the way that they are in the comments. In fact it just reenforces the stereotype that women are selfish, God forbid one of you have a child....then all of a sudden that child your world in the man has to come in and understand that.
@austind43014 жыл бұрын
Selfish is having a kid and expecting a partner to swoop in and clean up your mess with no return on their investment. And you HAVE a family unit. It's your ex, you and your child. Blended families aren't family units AT ALL.

You shouldn’t be offended by what the women have said in the comments section ! Dating a single father when you have no kids yourself is a high risk - low reward type of relationship!
