@denisematteau It's a 1992 film. It reminds me of the 1985 film Witness, starring Harrison Ford as a cop who goes undercover in an Amish community. He falls for Kelly McGillis, an Amish woman. Funnily enough, Harrison Ford and Melanie Griffiths starred in the 1988 film Working Girl.

The price of the tefillin, which is a strap with a box containing written prayer, Jewish men wear on their arm during prayer, can be between 250 - 450 dollars, I have just learned. It requires a narrow strip of leather and some offcuts for the boxes. Why everything connected with religion is always very expensive? So, if someone is very poor, and can't afford this, God will turn away from them? I know, that's a wrong place to ask this question. I'm just curious how this even exists.

This is not at all a waste of your time, if you would only turn the captions on. In case you don’t know how to do that, find the gear ⚙️ shape on your screen. It’s usually near the edge or a corner. Mine is in the upper right corner when I tap the screen. So Tap the gear, and then choose Captions. Next tap on Auto-Translate, and then choose your language. There are 16 languages besides English, and Italian is certainly one of the offered languages. This will provide you Automated captions in your language, but because they are done by a machine they will likely not be perfect. Still it will give you a very good idea of what the story is about. @e.s.l.1083 I believe they gave men a vial (A small glass container with a closure, made for holding liquids.) rather than a vile (evil, wicked, disgusting, offensive, depraved.) i’m just beginning the film so I’m not sure of the context yet but I did read that Melanie was in her 40s when this film was made. I have seen some people saying she was too young for the part?? How young would you want her to be? Anyway, when you talk about a bottle of tears, I was reminded of Psalm 56 where David says that God collects his tears in a bottle and keeps track of them. Even though he’s being attacked from all sides, he knows God is for him and he will trust in God to deliver him. It’s a very short chapter in the Psalms, and I really recommend everyone read it. It was very encouraging to me! I’m going to share it right now with some friends who are at war, fighting in very dangerous areas. 💙🌻💪🏼🌅
