I know you probably don't read the comments so I highly doubt you see this, but just wanted to say just how big of an impact this channel has had on my life as a trans girl. When I was first starting out as a trans woman, I didn't know of any other trans girls on earth. Even in the very very small group of trans people I know in person, which is like 5 other people, they all are either FTM or FTN, and they're all masc. Even on KZbin, I could barely find anyone going through the same thing as me. I felt so alone in it until I found this channel. I didn't think I could ever do vocal training before it was explained to me like I was a newborn. And it's not just the voice tutorial series that helped me on this channel. The shopping video helped me when going out and buying a skirt for the first time, the makeup video helped me see that makeup wasn't as scary as it seemed, and the trans ASMRs helped me with dysphoria whenever I felt it. When I say going to the bathroom during school and listening to those was, and still is, a DAILY thing, I'm not joking. So yea, I just wanted to say how greatful I am that this channel exists. Thank you, Lucy.

Genuinely, thank you so much for these videos, voice dysphoria was by far my worst dysphoria for a while, and while I'm still far from improving my voice, these videos have given me hope that it is actually possible, to the point where I don't even get dysphoric from my voice anymore, and you've singlehandedly made me stop feeling so hopeless about transitioning as a whole

1:42 In yesterdays community post I promised I would break your fall with a comically sized pillow. I might have missed and caught that explosion instead. Except it wasn't me that caught the explosion but the explosion caught me, and thus it took me away via explosions most signature seagull maneuver that everyone knows explosions are most known for. Thank you for including me in your video last minute. Okay being a weird dork aside, i loved this video a lot ❤ The edits were fantastic, and I loved the sitcom moments a lot. I have to admit I hadn't thought about my laugh too much beyond I def share both my parents laugh. My mom's the one with the loud sailor laugh that's easily distinguishable from a crowded room two hallways away, and my dads the one that rarely gives anything more than a hearty and soft chuckle. I always felt like my nervous tick of chuckling had always felt a little girly to begin with. This video gives me something to think about, and a good practice to work on!

Thanks for doing these videos! I got my first little clip of me sounding somewhat feminine (Although I somehow sound valley girl despite being southern which is a wild jump but I'll take it.) I have a little text file full of sentences with as many phonemes as possible for practice, I don't get to practice as often as I'd like because of living conditions but the tiny improvements I can notice while practicing are helping the dysphoria, so again, thank you. My voice is quite deep and you gave me hope that I could feminize it without surgery I can't afford. (Already ahead of the game on the laughing bit since I basically just wheeze when I laugh hard.)

I legitimately shake the house I live in when I sneeze, I can be on the other side of the house and my mother will scream Bless You because she felt and heard my sneeze. I've been on the other street outside of the house and I've heard her scream it out of her previously shut window. The gods give their silliest sneezes to their funniest clowns :3

@Catos235 ай бұрын
I mean, 20 yo old, that’s far away from like… 13, when parents have a massive weight in life The only thing, ig they might theoretically can do, is to push you away from the house. But is it really worth it, living there, if you can’t even live properly actually? 🤧
@brienatalie4 ай бұрын
Start with black nail polish if you have it. Very common color for boys. Nail polish isn't just for girls! Also, the more transphobic your parents are, the less likely they are to think you're trans. They'll come up with excuses why you aren't in their head for you automatically. Denial is a hell of a thing!

I don't think I ever will be able to do the sneezing, or it will take way to long as I have a really loud sneeze and it hurts my larynx way too much when I had it raised.
@CyberSurvivor449 ай бұрын
push your tongue, especially the back of your tongue, upwards when you sneese, like you're saying the word cheese instead of choose. Obviously the place where your tongue touches the roof of your mouth when sneezing is further bach than ch or sh, more like the letter k in key. It gors a long way to shrink the eare of thr vocal tract the air is passing through when sneezing.

your spanish was good ! the pronunciation of the vowels was good, and you had the stress in the right places. only thing i would say is it sounds like you should make sure you are not aspirating your voiceless plosives, e.g. /p/ /t/ and /k/. maybe you already know this but aspiration is just that puff of air when you pronounce those sounds. put ur hand over your mouth and say the words "pool" "tool" and "cool" and you will feel it. when you pronounce these sounds in spanish you should feel no air, almost like you are saying the /b/ /d/ and /g/ sounds.

Do you have any tips for how i can deal with dysphoria from thw people around me using male pronouns and terms? Also that im constantly reminded of the way i was born due to labels on clothing? Im closeted btw thats why But like i saw this really cute pink hat the other day and i have like 7 of that EXACT HAT style logo and all with the only difference being the colour and it was the inly one labeled Womens so i couldnt get it without suspicion… i was with my mother. Anyways sorry i tracked off a bit but does anybody have ideas for how i can deal with that?
@looselytelling9 ай бұрын
I know it's hard and awkward but you gotta come out to change that and for dysphoria, I'll be brutally honest and say that we're all kinda in the same boat whether it's appearance or some loudmouths in society being cruel. I didn't publicly come out until last year even though I've been "crossdressing" a few years before. So try and see if she'll accept you by asking questions about trans people or coming out as a crossdresser first and then come out as trans a little later, it butters them up for the full commitment. Now this is the important part... You're a good girl
