100% agree about the whole "HRT will change who you are" misconception. One big "change in my personality" is that i love to dance now, even if its just me, alone, jamming out in my room, aha. But as i love telling people - Its NOT because im a different person - its cos before my transition i felt like i was controlling a meat puppet and awkwardly moving its limbs in order to occupy a certain position. It didn't feel good. Now its MY body. It feels good to dance. HRT didn't change me, it changed my body to fit me.

HRT made me a morning person. I was a morning person until I hit around 11, 12, 13 years of age. as far as the "being more present in the world, stopping and seeing the flowers" yeah that can happen. It's the same logic as what you say in the intimacy section immediately after this. It's the change in circumstances. You've taken off a lot of that dysphoria weight that's taking up your mind, and you're actually finally able to go about without that weight on your shoulders. and if you're not dissociating because of dysphoria so much.. you're gonna be much more aware of the world around you and from a perspective not *separate* from the body your'e in - because you're no longer trying to escape your body.

I found it interesting that you mentioned trans women having a difficult time understanding that they don't need to give up masculine hobbies when they transition. This. Speaking as a cis woman who is more at home with chainsaws and anglegrinders than makeup. Using a chainsaw is a womanly hobby because I'm a woman and it's one of my hobbies. Trans women shouldn't be forced to conform to the 1950s stereotypes of womanhood to be accepted as women any more than cis women would put up with that nonsense. Cis or trans, women and girls who enjoy that particular type of femininity are valid - and so are the rest of us who have other interests.

That bit about feeling behind has been so prevalent for me, especially earlier this year. Since I’m in college it’s been hard dealing with twoberty, all the emotions came boiling up right after my dad died and right as the semester started. It made classes hard to bear, even forcing me out of class and decommissioning me for the rest of that day. I’m so so so lucky to have the friends I have here. My best friend always comes to comfort me, and has even put in perspective for me, me the one who has spent all her time watching all these videos about twoberty and about other people’s transitions and the struggles that come with it, and it took her, someone who knows very little about hrt in general to show me that what I’m going through is actually a lot more than I’ve been giving myself credit for.

I came out a little over a year ago... I finally started HRT on Friday. Walking down the street with my prescription the tears started and it was hard to believe it's real. Thank you for your video... the months ahead will no doubt be "interesting"

Wish someone told me I couldn’t eat as much. I tried to eat the usual amount… and then blehhhh… took a few times to realize i was over eating lol

yeah... I've gotten a bigger appetite since starting E but if I eat too much I really suffer sometimes.
@Chillwave68 ай бұрын
in my case since I'm skinny naturally and gaining weight is pretty hard so I've started eating way more now (still pre hrt though), it'll be interesting how much i have to lessen on that. I'm just glad i have to eat less.. but then again thats kinda the thing, I know a lot of people have the opposite issue.

I’m a new teacher. Being in the classroom can be hectic, stressful, and a little overwhelming at times. However, I work well under pressure, and remain calm, cool, and collected. I want to try E, but I’m worried that the changes it brings to how I experience emotions will impact my performance as a teacher in these critical early years when I’m trying to establish the career I’m going to spend the next 30 years doing.

If it helps, I started E DURING a prac teacher thing I was doing back when I was trying to become a Japanese teacher. It presented some challenges, but I was able to make it work and I feel I handled the prac teaching well. I believe In you

I'm three months late to the conversation, but if you haven't started yet, I'd suggest starting at the start of school holidays. It'll give you a bit of time to get used to how the changed hormone balance affects you before you have to ride that balance in public.

Hearing about what E can do makes me sooo excited, euphoric and also very happy. Thank you for the video, it definitely made my day. I hope I can get E soon.

this is good information since i have yet to start HRT (i already knew some of this but a lot of this is good to know) I also have all your voice tutorial videos up since I plan on soon watching. I'm honestly wondering how HRT is going to affect my body since mine is hella cursed with how it works, but honestly from where iv come from (very very bad place and been a very bad person) to where i am now your a good help in the stages building up to going out and getting HRT.
