That would be good, though I remember learning at school (a VERY long time ago) that they were invented for milk maids to use to milk the cows, as they don’t wobble on the cobbles. (Unintentional rhyme there).

Well, all I know is that Jeff Tweedy is in his mid-fifties and that Wilco's biggest success was around the mid Oughts, so is it possible that you're not so much getting old as just... old? ;-)
@cgbleak3 жыл бұрын
I would think that the older you are, the more likely you are to know all of them. To a certain point. The bargain-priced, double cd "Being There" by Wilco will tell you if you're a potential Jeff Tweedy fan, and the story collection "Pastoralia" will tell you the same thing about George Saunders (especially the title story and "Sea Oak"--overall, the collection is sort of hit and miss, but those are two of the funniest things I've ever read--and I read a lot!).

@@h3artands0uLL Really? Daniel Day-Lewis is pompous and arrogant? As many stories as there may about his acting methods (such as staying in character), he always seemed to me very down to earth and approachable. Looking at him in an interview promoting "Phantom Thread" with a shaved head, tattoos, very plain clothes and a wonderful sense of humour or listening to Paul Thomas Anderson describing Day-Lewis' crap and low-brow television taste, he comes across as rather likeable.
